I've heard that patch 6 breaks mods. 

 

 

Yeah. Last I checked they hadn't found a work around yet. Seems a lot of modders are losing hope at DAI mods being a sustainable thing.

 

Oh well.  My elven and qunari style Skyhold PJs were nice while I had them.

 

So, can we discuss, as a thread, spoilers? Because I've always though this thread to be pretty okay with spoilers as a whole, and those that don't want to be spoiled usually take off.  But I'd like to have a general spoiler consensus. Shall we carry on like normal, put spoilers in tags, or avoid them altogether?

 

I think probably it might be best if DLC was put behind spoiler tags for a while.

 

Since this is the Solas thread not a DLC thread it might be best not to go too overboard with the DLC talk (or have the mods stopped watching us now?)

But I disagree with the part where we shouldn't go overboard with the DLC talk, since really only about 4% of this thread these days is ever about Solas.

I'm a level 20. I found it very hard (on normal).  I'm not sure what would happen if you were a level 6 or something. Some of thought it was high-level, but Weekes tweeted last night that it levels with you. Still think it's pretty hard.

Hope the lore nerds can salvage something decent from the dlc... disappointed. Especially on the lack of romance material. Booooo. Well, maybe not disappointed, kinda expected it to be meh with the way it came to our attention.

I never thought I'd say this but I miss level scalling.  Yes, it was a bit ridicoulus that Awakening had bandits that could've solo'd the Archdemon and Ser Cauthrian at the same time, but at least the game was a challange all the way through.

 

I get what DAI is trying to do but I just find I level up too quickly and out level all the areas.

I take that to mean he heard the final words of the ancient elves probably right at the fall. That well is the collected knowledge of THOUSANDS of years of Mythal's priests well before the fall.  Probably stretches back to the beginning of the empire if not before. So...SPOOKY.  EDIT: This DLC to be something of a lore dump if anything.  Doesn't seem like there is much else going on. Likely lore that will be super crucial later one..but still.

I am wondering, how much lore is being dumped? I am not sure if I want to buy it after hearing that it is not a story DLC, but if it means large quantity of critical lore content……

So what I'm hearing so far is it appears safe to start the dlc at any point as it probably won't matter if I have Solas in party?  *le sigh* and here I was hoping for a small Solas fix in added dialogue.    I mean I love replaying Origins for Alistair...but it's just not the same as our Egghead.
