It's up on Origin over here. I was having a nosey to see what the price was like as quite often we get charged more for these things. $15 = around £10 so naturally the game costs.. £11.99.

Stupid VAT   But that's about average pricing for DLC here so that's to be expected. 

 

Apparently they are watching feeback for this closely, so get your viewpoints out there. From what I have gathered from the threads around here, it's a lot of what I don't care much for (fetch quests and wandering) and my level 23 nightmare mode post-game archer is going to get his ass handed to him. Yowzer. Even my KE is going to struggle. Heh. I have various saves for them at different points in the game so I can use them prior to post-game and have Solas, and maybe do some more grinding beforehand. 

 

I'm feeling less bad about the wait now, and there doesn't sound like there is going to much in the way of spoilers that I'll be devastated to read about. So let the lurking continue. I'll go into the DLC with all the knowledge, whenever that will be.

I think what mostly happened is what happens when you get a group of bored people together. Chaos. It'll get better now.

He went back to school for a week, then got spring break, so he is at home playing videogames. He still gets tired and such but other than that recovery is going ok

I think it'll be interesting to play this pre-post game and also I have a post-game human Cullen romanced save I'm going to play it with too to see the differences. I don't know how I'm going to make it through the day till I can get home to play more.

And I, for one, appreciate how you make us laugh and lighten the mood. It would be too sad a place without googly eyes and glitter, even if sometimes I just shake my head and cringe.

 

I guess I just enjoy wallowing in the digital heartbreak. I've been married for almost 11 years now, so I don't get this kind of drama in my real life. I cherish the feels.

I eat that **** up. If something can twist the knife in and make me feel angst, I will love it. I felt sad right after but like, for me, the tragedy of Solas is that he is alone.  I feel the same way Morrigan feels about lost history...the world is so boring and uninteresting and all these amazing and magical things keep getting blighting/destroyed/forgotten one by one. They are so precious and it is so sad that they are just lost to greed/ignorance/hubris.  That's what's sad for me and that's what makes me love him as a character.

Same.  I don't have the emotional capacity for this kind of drama IRL, but I'm happy to eat it up when it's fictional people 

 

I think a lot of it also had to do with my Lavellan.  I got really attached to her, and I was surprised by how much I'd missed playing a genuinely heroic character.  She's probably my PC who deserves a happy ending the most, and the prospect of her not getting one is definitely prolonging my stay in the hellspiral

LOL the latter, but I wouldn't be surprised at the former Don't judge me, lol, everyone knows that stuff finds everyone on tumblr eventually... I used to follow people for fantasy art, skyrim and viking stuff, videogames, history... then all of a sudden they started posting porn gifs and hosting contests of selfies for these things I had to concentrate and look at for a while before I realized it wasn't some kind of lavalamp but a toy dragon dong... yea.

 

All I can say is I totally get why people don't run through tumblr in public, lolol.

Don't know what has been posted reference the DLC, but I've been playing it for 7-8 hours now...

There's a quest thread involving the last Inquisitor who disappeared ~800 years ago.  You discover he had an elven mage lover, and at one point you find her ghost wandering around and calling out for "vhenan!?" looking for him.    It's not directly Solas content, but it gave me the sads.

 

All companions have quest and location specific dialogue, but nothing story or romance-related.  Solas and Cole are good people to bring along as the Avvar involve a lot of spirit-related content, so they've been pretty chatty.  Iron Bull unfortunately is not enjoying it, haha.

When I was a young girl and had no business knowing what existed in romance novels, I would sneak my mother's books to read. I've been with my boyfriend for 10 years this year, so he has seen me through most of my digital romances and poked fun at me and my choices. He got his copy earlier than I did and even predicted that I'd love Solas and romance him.  He hasn't finished Inquisition so he just rolls his eyes when I bring up Solas and I can't hint at the impact he made on my feelings without possibly spoiling.

 

So I am here. And I'm sure I've made my friends' eyes roll by now too. Ha.

 

Still, these feels, I embrace them and appreciate a character getting to me this deeply.

 

DLC is downloading now. Yay.
