I'm probably going to use my usual party of Solas, Dorian, and Cassandra. But I've been using Cole as an archer lately on my pre-end completionist save and maybe he and Dorian can swap a bit. I'll have to get back from the gym and finish some things before I play.

I'm glad to see another update. Also, don't worry too much about "action" (as per the note at the top). There's a lot of strength in the more reflective and quieter moments, like the ones in chapter 2, which were very moving and thought-provoking. Also, her background and worries are integral to the tale you're telling. The structure works well so far, and I do think the voice is flowing.

It doesn't matter much tbh, the companions don't really say much. I would bring Solas and Cole maybe, there are a couple of conversations about spirits. 

 

The Avvar religion focuses a lot on spirits, and you interact with a few.  Cole and Solas had a lot to say about it, and Iron Bull gave me a few *slightly disapproves*.  I would think Dorian would be good, too, since Tevinter ruins are all over the place.

He follows both the Chant and Dalish religion. I forget the name of the Elven God that he follows, it's the Halla Mother one, but yeah he manages to worship both. You find a shrine that he and his partner visit before their battle and it's a statue of Andraste with her hands raised, but they've put two of those Halla statues in both of her upraised hands and give thanks to both.

I wasn't even paying attention when I started reading it, and by the time I got to the end I had engaged full hype mode. Yeeessss.

It can be found beneath the Tevinter ruins, near the old drainage system. There's a tomb sealed that requires the shards to open it.

Inside there's a coffin that will give you a bunch of cold resist, and some loot. The message is scrawled on the wall. The loot doesn't seem to be connected, although the staff is called 'accuser's staff'.

I'm going to have to play through several hours of the game just to get to the point where I can play the DLC.  This is going to take days.

I'm planning on starting just after the Temple of Mythal.  I have a savefile where I'd finished Solas's previously bugged quest, but hadn't broken up with him or engaged the endgame yet.

 

I *am* going to drag that stupid nerd with me everywhere.  And he *is* going to be the one who has to do all the undignified platforming.

I find it can help to do even brief chapter breakdowns for your overall idea. Even one or a few topic lines. And then just fill in details when you're actually doing it. Some people are better at just writing. Others need a full on outline that's almost a draft. Whatever works for each person.

 

Sometimes writing flows and flows and sometimes it's just so hard to get the right words and nothing is good enough/everything sounds wrong.

This Geldauarn bloke sounds like as much of an ass as the pantheon itself though. So you had two factions of equally assholey gods slapping each other about, and Solas playing both sides against each other, prolonging their war and weakening them, a tactic that Felassan later teaches Briala to use. 

 

I wonder why Solas and the forgotten ones could survive in the void and Andruil coudln't. I'm making a lot of assumptions here lol, but I'm bored so why not?

I think he may be talking about using the void or maybe the blight as a weapon there at the end. Also I don't think these guys are opposed to god worship, he sounds jealous. That would be were the forgotten ones and Solas separate, they both wanted to get rid of the gods, but the forgotten ones want to take their place, and Solas wants the people to be independent.

 

How many months will I have to wait until the next 5 lines of clues?

The last Inquisitor, Ameriden, turns out to be an elf (shocker!) who was keeping Hakkon, in dragon form, at bay by freezing them both in time.  There's this very poignant moment after you tell him that his lover died trying to find him & how the elves in the Dales were betrayed, and he starts lamenting about being burdened with the role of Inquisitor. He says something along the lines of "Cherish every moment of happiness you can get, Inquisitor...the world will be quick enough to take them away."

That is a very interesting thought! He definitely sounds like a revolutionary sort of person, but the threat at the end doesn't sound quite like he had the people in his mind. But who knows!

I ascribe to the Theory that the Old Gods of Tevinter are actually the Forgotten Ones, going by different names.
