I want this so much.  Particularly for the irony of my muggle!Lavellan filling a god's shoes after spending 100+ hours insisting she's not special or divinely chosen    I like apotheosis stories, whether literal or figurative, and all the problems that come with them.  And of the three Dragon Age PCs, the Inquisitor is very well suited to apotheosis.

 

One thing that I think would be a pretty cool set up. Its sort of a Chekov's gun that the Inquisitor has Fen'Harel's powers. I could see an elven god perhaps defeating Fen'Harel and trapping him somewhere, only to realize that the person he trapped is not the person currently wielding the powers he's trying to remove from play. 

 

I could even see Solas taking advantage of that. Have the elven god waste all his power contending with him, and give the Inquisitor the upperhand in cleaning it up.

Well I hope we get the answers sooner, i.e. dlc, rather than later (next game).

I would assume they will deal with it in DLC.  Obviously the Solas forum is an echo chamber for "SOLAS IS BEST" but he's not the most popular romance...that honor goes to Herr Cullen...and his romance was there just to make him more well-rounded.  So to have an entire game made and then focus a massive part of his character on the romance would be A. unfair to other players b. almost doing his character a disservice since he's so much more than that. 

 

I'm sure when they do, it will be DRAMATIC.  Probably tears. Probably lots of "I STILL LOVE YOU AND I NEVER STOPPED".  OR 2nd option the Quizzy can just be like 'dude you suck, we're not getting back together" and he cries for 10 minutes.

 Even Patrick Weekes replied with a "Hmm" to a tweet suggesting Solas might need the Anchor somehow.

 

It's obviously no coincidence the Inquisitor has Fen'Harel's power, but it is totally cryptic what, why, how, etc.

with the Avvar augur, and how spirits see the Anchor as this blazing fire.  I like to headcanon that between Solas and spirit!Cole, my Lavellan's become fairly comfortable with spirits, and she isn't particularly bothered by the idea that nearby spirits can find her in a heartbeat.  What I found really interesting was the arena, and the technique that the Avvar use to get spirits' help in combat.  I'll bet that with the Anchor, even a non-mage quizzy can make that work on a regular basis.

The anchor almost seems to have made the Inquisitor the Avatar. Sort of a go between the spirit world and the 'mortal' world. Which is very coool.

I'm hoping that after an entire game spent deconstructing the elves that we're going to be in for some serious reconstruction.  Weekes seems to like elves and elven lore (the clan in TME wasn't shown to be bad, after all.  They just had a uselss Keeper).

Some beautiful place, maybe in the new DLC map, Lavellan fights her way through endless forests until, suddenly, a cracking sound behind her. She turns and there he is, leaning on a tree. "So you found me", he smiles, "I knew you would. I had time to... think. About what happened, about the future, about... us."

And then the conversation wheel:

1) (heart option) "And what.... about us?"

-- Solas gets closer, takes her hands, and draws in breath. "I wanted to tell you that...." A loud noise, a blinding explosion of light, and Solas slumps down, an arrow sticking out of his chest. Lavellan turns and sees Andruil. Fade to black.

2) (fist option) "I don't care about us. You broke it when you left without a word."

-- Solas breaks down and cries. 10 minutes close up.

Here BioWare will reintroduce the paragon/renegade prompts. Paragon prompt: "There there..." (Solas cries more.) Renegade prompt: (poke him with a stick).

Ugh, the pain in the Telana-spirit's voice when she says "Vhenan."  Her whole story just hurts.  Especially since Solas was right f***ing there, and I'm playing pre-Mythal.  I think when I go back and replay Lavellan, I'm gonna do Jaws of Hakkon after the endgame.  It'll be good for her.  At the very least, she can avoid poor Telana's fate.
