I have to admit, I'm not sure I want to see what would happen if my Lavellan snapped.  It's always the nice ones who are absolutely f***ing terrifying on the warpath.  (Leliana, Liara, Mordin, Paragon Shep, etc.)

For sure! Paragon Shepard at the end of Overlord was amazingly scary. You know you've pushed someone too far when pistol whipping is considered the paragon option. 

 

 

I don't think my Lavellan would be that scary, only because she's already sort of hot-headed. For her, I think the crisis point would be losing confidence in herself. She can handle just about anything, including Solas's death, but if she loses her willpower she'll burn out completely.

It comes in waves. You watch it and then start laughing madly for about 2 min. Then it subsides. Then you starting laughing again

I feel like I am missing something about the nug. Was there something else to do besides releasing the nug and watch it trying to follow a tiny bit then go back to where it was? I tried every directions, it always stops following at some point.

My Lavellan is mostly sincere and genuine with the occasional snark or sarcasm. When she's got her responsibilities, whether that was in her clan or with the Inquisition, she's very serious about them.

 

I don't see her snapping. She'd keep up with her duties and probably put on a normal face while hurting inside. It would be up to others to catch her/sense it. That's what I see after Solas' disappearance. She throws herself into duty even while not always sleeping much/well and even neglecting to eat. It's not just the breakup but the disappearance, the uncovered deception, she trusted and loves him still, lots of confusion in general, worries over all sorts of matters. I need to write up something about her thoughts and experiences with regards to her missing vallaslin and how she planned to return to her clan at some point, even for a visit....but didn't think she'd be going alone.

with the Avvar augur, and how spirits see the Anchor as this blazing fire.  I like to headcanon that between Solas and spirit!Cole, my Lavellan's become fairly comfortable with spirits, and she isn't particularly bothered by the idea that nearby spirits can find her in a heartbeat.  What I found really interesting was the arena, and the technique that the Avvar use to get spirits' help in combat.  I'll bet that with the Anchor, even a non-mage quizzy can make that work on a regular basis.

There aren't actually spirits with you in the arena.  But if you talk to the guy running the arena, he tells you the purpose of Hakkon's trial.  The Avvar let spirits see them fighting so that when they're actually in combat, the spirits can assist them.  The arena guy and Solas have a funny exchange too.

Well crap on toast! I had that chat with the Arena master, but Solas didn't chime in. Damn egg. I have noticed that I haven't gotten most of the "responses" or banter, that have been posted here and on other threads. Wonder if there is something hinky with this particular PT of mine. Or just odd luck.

Ah well. I have other PC's (and Lavellans for that matter) to play the DLC with. Won't cry in my coffee. My lovely coffee.....mmmmmm, coffee.

And you should be afraid of Bunquiz. She's the the scariest Quizzy in all of Thedas.

I saw that gif set this morning while I was still half-asleep, and I thought it was a bear trying to eat quizzy until I looked closer.  Also, that desk does not look sturdy enough to support Cullen in full armor.  At the very least, there should be some creaking.

Omg that scence and cole's adorable "HELLO".  I reloaded it three times.

Haha, yes. I have Cole/Cass/Solas with me, and two of the three were all "woohoo!" and then Cass is "OMGWTF??" Meanwhile Lavellan's like, "oh. more spirits. Sure, why not?"

 

Amusement aside, it was interesting. That and the prayer when you find the climber. Cass was annoyed at me for joining the prayer, but it was a nice touch and not something I was expecting. And hey, +1 to Dexterity!

 

Plenty of fun little things like that in the DLC. Almost makes it feel like a lighthearted interlude to everything else. And Avaar. Can't go wrong with Avaar.

 I have this idea for my Lavellan that when she was waiting for word of what happened to her clan, she would wander around Skyhold doing her usual things but would have this cloud of absolute danger hanging over her. Everyone stopped to take notice; everyone shied away when she passed by, unsure of what made them nervous to be around her but having a vague feeling that they were in some kind of peril. In my mind Lavellan WOULD have snapped had word come back that her clan had died.

 

Of course, there was nothing said either way so it would have been hard to actually do anything, so it's just as well that the clan survived and Skyhold breathed a collective sigh of relief.
