I'd like a spoiler: I saw there's more of my most favorite element of the game, shards. So, what are they good for? Is there suddenly one more room in Solasan or what can you do with them?

There's 12 shards to collect in Frostback Basin, and they open up a special door on the north-west side of the map, if I recall correctly.

Inside the room, you have a big chest (like those in Solasan) that gives you nice items & ice resistance, as well as a juicy piece of lore about the forgotten ones.

Well I don't hate her like I hate Hitler or anything, but I think Bianca is a user. She uses Varric as her crutch, stringing him along when she knows he's in love with her. Varric is not without blame though. They both use each other and it's, much more destructive and damaging than Bull and Dorian will ever be.

This is true... I lost some respect for him after finding that out to be honest. I get him being a softy, but not to the point where she's married to another man and he's stuck getting her once in every blue moon as her booty call. She's not forcing him to stick around.

Ameridan is one handsome looking male elf. Don't care for him being Andrastian though... but his duality works really well for me personally, even though my character is only interested in elven culture, not a believer of it.

As much as I've loved all the elven lore and story we've gotten with DA:I (and I wasn't even elf trash until Solas), I would rather like a story about elves at this point that doesn't end in heartrending tragedy.  Maybe with Solas.  You know, for variety's sake if nothing else

Poor Telana and Ameridan.  And by extension, I even have feels about Emperor Drakon.  Can you imagine his guilt, knowing he sent his best friend to his death?  And worse, he probably couldn't even mount a proper search for them during his life, thanks to the second Blight.  If we ever got to meet time-stasis Drakon (which is unlikely) I think he'd be horrified at the current state of affairs, just like Ameridan.

 

Maker, I hope the professor drops a truth bomb.  Dear, wonderful, holy Drakon, founder of the southern Chantry and the Empire, was best friends with an elven Inquisitor and ally to the Dales.  Let the Orlesians suck on that for a while.
