I just thought of the really interesting nicknames are sometimes now the ones we use online or in games so I will start with my favorite 3
Merik is my oldest alias when I started playing at internet cafes in Cyprus and comes from the first Dungeon Siege game in which a mage who had an awesome staff was called Merik
Nekhrun is my second oldest and came from a Batman comic where Nekhrun was a demi-god of bats or something or other and my friends refused to call me this due to how annoying it is to spell and say
Last but not least is Hakkira which is my favored alias and until recently I thought I had just made it up for myself but it turns out after replaying Freelancer I encountered a character called Lord Hakkira so chances are that is were that originates

There is nowhere to see this running count, unfortunately, so you find out you've used them all when you go to "like" something and get a little pop-up error message stating you've reached your daily quota.
I'm still not sure how long this forum considers "a day". I often run into situations where I am out of likes, go to bed for 8 hours, get up the next morning, still out of likes, later in the morning I might have a couple back and then run out again.

It used to be a LOT lower back when the forum software switched over, and enough demand got it increased. Why it went to an arbitrary number like 48, I have no clue.
I think the original number was something ridiculous, like 10 a day or something.
