Hey guys, just quickly popping in and hoping one of you could tell me roughly how long the DLC takes to finish? Sadly I'm level 17 on my canon run so I'll have to wait until I'm 20 at least before being able to do it. Trying to keep myself away from here to avoid spoilers. x)

No... I meant "boah, that DLC is only old content that was cut from the game for budget reasons and is now sold at a separate price!" like it might have been mentioned once or twice by people in other threads on this board recently.

I have no idea if there's copyright on the whale. Or Solas. Or the idea of photoshopping somebody's head on the whale. Or the idea of photoshopping Solas head on the whale. Or on anything for that matter.... Oh god, I'm with one foot in the jail already myself. 

 

Hahah! Oh god. I feel like I should be kind of proud of my wild misinterpretation. I was like, "Man, what's the world coming to when you can't even share a humpback whale-Solas abomination photo splice with a stupid pun in celebration of someone's birthday..."

Is anyone getting a Lot of banter in the new area? I feel like I'm catching up on it all at once

 

Not really. My companions are too quiet most of the time. Dorian has given me the most new commentary though. I have Cassandra, Solas, and Dorian, my usual party, and they mostly exhausted their banters together before this.

 

Example: Cassandra just did the awkward post-breakup missing vallaslin banter yet again with Solas. I've almost lost count at this point. Maybe 6-7 times by now I've had that (and I used Blackwall for a bit).

 

However, I will say that this DLC is making me laugh way more often than I expected.

I'm dumb. To clarify, do you mean the whale pic is likely copyrighted and I shouldn't have abused it in such a fashion? Quite possibly. I suppose I should have looked on a free stock photo site. u_u Will remedy.

Just got into brutal fight. Guess who decided to quietly observe from the perimeter, while holding a veilfire torch?

 

I even made him new armor last night. My Lavellan takes care of him even though he crushed her heart. That said, this scenario may inspire some stray paragraphs later.

I haven't even gone to the island yet. Kind of doing side things and exploring. I did what I do in most new areas. I unlocked all the camps first, then wandered around. I found the hold and did a few things there but nothing super major major.

I'm just noticing now that during cutscenes, the Ardent Blossom doesn't appear on my Lavellan's head, and it's therefore missing on most of my JoH screenshots.

Classics =/= 2005 version.

And Sarah Jane Smith doesn't appeal to me much. Romana though, that might be fun.

 

They're still the same show.  A lot revivial fans overlook the classic stuff, which is a shame.

 

But yeah, Donna is awesome. Easily my favourite of the post 2005 companions. Rose I went from 'meh' to 'hate' very quickly, Martha and Clara need better scripts, Amy and Rory were fanastic but Donna is just amazing.

 

EDIT: And now I feel like a terrible fan because my first list missed out the best companion of all time - Ace.
