I love it so very very much. And I love that they treat spirits like people! Like when you meet the Augur and the spirits get to meet you and he just go "don't throng!" like they are excited children The Avvar seems to understand spirits more than anyone, barring Solas (and I'm not even certain about that, spirits reflect people and Solas don't always understand people).

 

When it comes to "abominations", I want to find another word now. A word that goes for the symbiotic relationship the Avvar mages have with spirits. There needs to be a word for them and their spirit-friends!

 

Also, maybe I'm wrong but... when you collect Ameridan's memories there's one point where he refers to his "spirit companion"... Was he... like them? If so, I am fangirling over him more than I thought I would!

I figured this one out by accident. I saw glowing barrier, figured I'd come back and have Solas hit it with something later, and then ran to where the veilfire was burning since I figured it meant runes! Spent way too long running around the immediate area waiting for a rune to pop up, didn't find anything, so came back to the barrier with the torch and see the icon to interact with it. Solved without even trying to while trying to find something that wasn't there. I laughed at myself.

I felt so dumb, ugh! I almost missed Solas' joke on Fen'harel after that, I just wanted to go on with the story and didn't ask the right question. Good thing I reloaded.

 

They all kinda alike though. So... twincest?

The intro is also well done. The paint stuff, I do like the quiet, random moments in general.

 

I just had two thoughts - man, whatever you write with regards to the breakup is going to be a huge case of feelings and I wondered if you're planning to get her clan killed for maximum introspection and potential dramatic survivor's guilt.

I haven't decided what I'm doing with her Clan yet. I should probably decide at some point. It would be such a weird mixture of emotions for her if they died. They're her family, but I'm not sure she's super fond of them as a whole haha. 

 

... I don't want to write their break up. It's going to huuuurttt.

I felt like an evil person just thinking about those things with regards to your story. Like I feel killing off the clan would put her in a weird spot given the circumstances but work for a story like yours too, given the hints at her feelings of not belonging/feeling expendable etc. Being the only one left all of a sudden....dramatic fuel.

 

 

And the breakup.....I just started (as in one paragraph) something from Solas' POV post-breakup where my Lavellan is giving him new armor, based on me actually making him new armor and always making sure he's fully taken care of. So that is my mood at the moment.
