That and people here were and are way too afraid to say much of anything directly, lol, and certainly not for paragraphs like what I saw there. Lol, all we get here are silly passive aggressive comments on the sly and people tip toeing around statements, which hardly makes for much of an argument. Which works, since we won't be getting locked.

 

On topic, I heard a very appropriate rap quote by DMX I'm thinking of sigging in Solas' honor against any Solas haters.

I don't even like baldness in real life but I can't get aboard the Solas with dreads/hair train. His bald head is just part of him. 

Only a few can pull it off. Hank and Heisenberg from Breaking bad, Oenomaus from Spartacus, Morpheus from the Matrix, Teal'c from Stargate, Riddick from Chronicles of Riddick, Bruce Willis, and Stone Cold Steve Austin, lolol.

 

And now Solas, the eggman himself.

About Solas with dreads, my issue is that fan art showing that never really features Solas's face. It's just some elf with similar features, and he looks good with hair, but it is not Solas. I have no real idea what Solas himself would look like with dreads .... which is why I photoshopped it. And I can't quite make up my mind.

My boyfriend says Solas has prepared me for the day he goes bald (he's thinning and I've asked him not to shave it). I like hair, but I think making Solas bald works. It also adds to his sleekness that we all tend to admire.

He did at Halamshiral when I played through with Dorian.  It was at the part when you go to Celene's bedroom and find the guy tied to the bed and Dorian's like "Oh, Orlesians". Solas was GRINNING. I was like 'aww...'  That's why I headcanon that they get drunk and are friends for just one night.

He smiles a lot the very first time you meet him.    I cant get past that cut scene. I decided to play a human mage, and then got to that point, and was like DAMN IT SOLAS! Why do you have to be so charismatic and charming?!

 

EDIT: I think it's funny that Varric calls him "chuckles" because he rarely laughs. But Solas actually laughs A LOT if you pick the right dialogue options.

Yeah but his smiles aren't to the extent that they are in the concept art. Less mischievous and more happy. Or amused.

He even still has some of the goofy charm (and if you're romancing him, interpret it also as infatuation) in the Fade Haven scene too.

 

Compare to the balcony romance scene where he's looking away at times and ....is tighter, more deliberate.

He looks like the kids that used to hang out under the stairs at my high school and wore like bowling t-shirts with dragon ball z on it with those big bright blue cargo pants with like straps hanging off them and combat boots.  If THAT was solas i would been like 'YOU BETTER LEAVE.'
