I have a single paragraph of a post-breakup thing where Solas is trying to sort of convince himself she will be fine, while she brings him new robes she had made and is wearing her feelings on her face.

 

I am also trying to think of fluff so not everything has to be so wrought.

I find it particularly hilarious how he kind of glances down as if to check on his movements, all "and now I simply cast a silent spell enabling my hand to pass through Lavellan's exquisite body, and... aha!"

 

Solas plays a close hand. As long as you don't get him drunk. 

 

I look forward to a future DLC where we might finally get to see some of that crack.

About Solas with dreads, my issue is that fan art showing that never really features Solas's face. It's just some elf with similar features, and he looks good with hair, but it is not Solas. I have no real idea what Solas himself would look like with dreads .... which is why I photoshopped it. And I can't quite make up my mind.

But no, would never wear... actually I've never worn any article of clothing with a cartoon, or product, basically pictures of any kind on them. Tacky IMO.

Graphic Ts are awesome! It's art you can take with you. And as a woman, you can pretend to be unjustifiably angry if someone casually observing your t-shirt stares overlong, and accuse them of checking out your boobs, and get them all flustered and stuff. It's a hilarious win-win.

I have to admit, I struggle to get into "Solas-writing" mode with my fics.  Writing from Fenris perspective?  Sure.  Alistair?  Of course.  But Solas is so....tricky for me, not sure why...

just imagine him talking the line thats what i do, maybe i've just studied him too closely in my x playthroughs 

 

on a side note it REALLY sucks trying to write a fic post-corypheus ... whats even worse is it ends up turning into a cullenxlavellan ...

maybe i should think of something during their travels but that would be such a short story

I have a lot of ideas bouncing around in my head lately, I've so far jumped to two different spectrums from "Solas comforting my Lavellan after she had a nightmare" to "breakup aftermath and picking up the pieces to move on" ._.

 

It's all fluff, fluff is good, it is safe, it is comforting...don't drag me back into the hellspiral...

Well he does essentially begin his active participation with the Inquisition by saving the Inquisitor's life, after all. I think it's a sort of fitting thing, at least in how this might change once he actually deeply cares for a Lavellan rather than 'mysterious near death random survivor with his orb's power and a hole in the sky'.

You know, I think that's probably a good yardstick to measure outfits by. "If the world ended today and I was thrown into Zombieland, would I be happy with my wardrobe choices?" Unless I were wearing the comfiest, longest-lasting, most stylish and simultaneously utilitarian jammies, my answer would probably be no.
