Essentially. I cared but I wasn't super invested. My Warden is a queen Cousland. I launched Inquisition and decided screw it, I'm tired of playing humans with noble names, let's be an elf.
And sweet talker over there practically had me at hello.
Actually, he had me at "No, I am declaring it."
Personally, I've always been the most interested in Dalish elves from the playable races within Dragon Age, and have picked them as my canons for Origins and Inquisition. Though I'm not an unquestioning elf-nut in general (I don't have strong feelings either way on the elves in LOTR, for instance), I think that the Dragon Age elves' position as oppressed underdogs played a big part in me being drawn to them more than the other races. I like playing other DA races too, though if I have the option to play something other than a human in a video game, I'll usually take it. At least at first.
The rogue flirt is definitely my favourite. But I may be biased.
Solas was just so unexpectedly smooth. It threw me wayyy off what I'd been expecting from him. I was all, holy ****, you know exactly what you're doing and you are 100% confident.
Lavellan: So you're suggesting I'm graceful?
Solas: No. I am declaring it. It was not a subject for debate.
Lavellan: *small, flirty laugh*
Solas: *minute, self-assured smile*
Lavellan: ...
Lavellan: Well...
Lavellan: ... I should probably--*backing away*--get going--*trips over rock*--eheahah--*pointing at rock, laughing*
Lavellan: Okay, ahaah, bye then! *stumbling quickly away, sweating*
