Edit: Hmm only managed to do 7 after this past which was so... ANTI-CLIMATIC!! Ah well tomorrow I shall reserve my likes for one giant like explosion of unicorns wreathed in flower garlands giving huggles

Yeah, I'll be pretty holed up in my room when the game releases, I want to finish it before I take a look in the forums. It will take me so long to finish it though, I'm a terrible completionist.

DRAGONS! i love love love dragons. i don't kill them in skyrim unless i absolutely HAVE to (can't sneak by one guarding a word wall, one swooping down from the sky with the intent to EAT ME). i consider them all my siblings, aha. and i hate the blades so bad. i always remove the essential flag from delphine so i can kill her, lulz.
like I JUST HATE HER SO BAD. THE NERVE ON HER. like, who are YOU to tell ME what to do? KILL PAARTHY? HE IS MY FRIEND. MY BROTHER. she is the worst blade ever. whenever i play Oblivion i like to imagine the horror the likes of Jauffre and Baurus would feel at her complete middle finger to the ONLY DRAGONBORN. pfft. PFFT.

 

also, nicknames huh? i am a huge nicknamer! i never use real names. probably has something to do with me being terrible with remembering them...

my first nickname ever was "vampire bat" because as a baby i would sleep all day, be up all night. and... i never grew out of that, so, appropriate, heh.
as i got older it was "grace," and it still gets used sometimes. because i am the clumsiest, most accident prone person you'll ever meet. when i was little, i'd trip up AND down the steps to the school bus. twice. every day. and us new englanders are a sarcastic lot. 

i tend to get a lot of random ones from people... "red" or "ariel" are pretty common due to my hair and my fascination with trinkets and, yes, constant tripping over things... that and due to anxiety i have a lot of selective mutism going on and in public i tend never to talk and just do a lot of nodding and hand motions...

that and my actual name is sera (yes really, lol) so it's pretty hard to shorten a four letter name.

My friend in college used to call me red because of my hair color. Then, I bleached it blonde. He's like, "I'm still going to call you red."

Of course, that was the only positive name based off of my hair so...won't talk anymore about that.

I approve of the NEW PERSON BLANKET.  I compensate by posting too much.  I have a lot of "no, you cannot run away and hide" conversations with myself.  Also "don't say 'I'm sorry' after everything, everyone will hate you if you do that."

i mean, i've sunk hundreds of hours into origins. hundreds into da2, which i don't even LIKE. (no offense to anyone who does, i'm not interested in having that argument. that's just how it is for me.) so with the size of inquisition... combined with my completionism... and my obsessive, neurotic NEED to look under EVERY LAST ROCK... oh man.

my timestamp on skyrim is over 1,000 hours, sooo... yeah.

Oi....nicknames. Never had them from my family (though my mother used my full name - first, middle, last - whenever I was in trouble, which might have been often ), but I played sports when I was young. Was nearly with the same basketball team from grade school, into high school. I lost all ability to speak with any form of clarity, when I was on the basketball court. If I wanted the ball, I would grunt/snort/speak in tongues, or basically sound like this guy:

Anyway.....the rest of the team felt inclined to just call me by my first initial "E". Short. To the point. It stuck.

In college (which was back in the late 80's/early 90's), I had a tendency to bring up useless facts, for no particular reason. (guess I was filling in the silence *shrug* ) So I got the nickname "Clavin" (as in Cliff Clavin....*grimace*). And nowadays, my husband and I have nicknames for each other, but best not to repeat them. Not sure how our humor with each other might be viewed, by the general population.

As for Solas' nickname, like others, I like Sleepy or Dreamy. I could also see something like Professor or Teach, if he ends up being as scholarly as some picture him.

Did it become Abuse the Elf day when I wasn't looking? Poor Solas, but, it's for a wonderful cause...really...we SWEAR

 

 

I don't think I really had a nickname when I was growing up (I sure as hell won't count the ones from bullies). However, I am still called Karm by my old guild mate friends from my WoW days, as this was the name of my very first character (which I played for years). And I have no issue with it, as I really grew to love the name.

 

I'll join the nickname thing, but I'll stick with familial nicknames, because we moved around a lot and I have enough nicknames to fill a book, over the years.

 

I was Cathy growing up and Pumpkin as a wee babe, 

My father still calls me Catarina

But these days everyone calls me Cat, even my own parents.

 

One other notable nickname is that I still have friends who call me Netaria from FFXI and 1up days. Which is funny.
