I feel your pain. Assuming you are on PS4 like me, at least feel better knowing that supposedly next week we are supposed to be getting news of when the DLC will be available to us.

 

Yes! And here I thought I was going first class all the way when I proudly stood in line to waste my money on a PS4. *sad sniff* But yeah, I saw your post about the impending reveal for when the DLC would be available for PS4 users. Very excite. Much happy. So anticipate.

This is the scene where Solas does something to Flemythal when Solas briefly flashes. After pausing and some light editing this looks like a face. You can see eybrows, eyes and a small nose. But attached/next to this face appears to be a gaping mouth complete with teeth (similar to fear demon). 

 

Interestingly, this is when Solas lifts his head from Flemeth's embrace....yet this other face is still under Flemeth's embraces.

 

Oh, and you can see Solas' nose poking through this...thing. Who knows, maybe its Fen'harel's spirit form?

Yeah!  I wanted to talk about it with Dorian, Cass, Cole... everyone!  Sure made my Lavellan feel like she didn't have any real friends. And the fact that you don't have a different balcony ending, like Lavellan looking sad instead of happy... or thinking about him.  Or having a dream about him coming to her on the balcony and she wakes up and realizes he's really not there.  I was SO disappointed there wasn't one last thing about him besides the ending cutscene.

 

That actually really bothered me too. 

 

They could have at least changed the soundtrack in the balcony scene to something more melancholy, rather than a bombtastic build up of the Inquisition theme seeming really out of place given the circumstances...

I've seen that, too. Honestly it just looks like several ethereal "Solas'" facing off in slightly different directions. Probably just supposed to be his soul half-stepping out for a moment. ("Just", I say like it's no big deal. "Oh my soul just took a step out for a second. You know, as they do.")

A tangle of hair in hands, the smell of dew and leaves in the morning sun. Soft, silken caress. It drowns him. He falls deeper and deeper, cannot look away, cannot feel, cannot help but feel. Everything. It means so much, but it cannot. He is himself, more of himself than he has ever been, when he is near her, sees her, knows her.

 

He feels too much, too little, of all the wrong things and cannot focus. It is all askew and perfectly in line; he stands on a crumbling precipice and cannot look away. It is everything he does not deserve, but wants. Desperation. He stumbles, smoking slivers catch on skin, dim. His angles glean sharp. Heart sinks, and he cannot look away. She is a beacon in the night, guiding him. Painfully bright.

 

I would stay with you, forever. But I must look away.

Yeah!  I wanted to talk about it with Dorian, Cass, Cole... everyone!  Sure made my Lavellan feel like she didn't have any real friends. And the fact that you don't have a different balcony ending, like Lavellan looking sad instead of happy... or thinking about him.  Or having a dream about him coming to her on the balcony and she wakes up and realizes he's really not there.  I was SO disappointed there wasn't one last thing about him besides the ending cutscene.

When I spoiled myself a little tiny bit by seeing a YT video called "Solas speaks through Cole" I totally expected Cole to visit Lavellan on the balcony at the end and then Solas would talk through him literally, with the whole "What we had was real" thing...Alas, it turns out that we didn't get that at all.  Although this scene is now my headcanon and has been written as such, so it's not all bad I guess

 

Also going back to the topic: Token of the Packmaster makes wolves friendly?!  What the hell?!  I have never seen that before!  I always used it on my companions and never myself so that must be why, but that is so cooooool!

It's kinda depressing, yes. Made worse by the fact that nobody, save Leliana in the epilogue I suppose, actually tried to make sure Lavellan is alright in the post-game. Some friends you guys are. ;_;

I tried to tell myself we had kept the whole thing under wraps and only Leliana and Cole had any idea, in order to explain the silence away, but I still couldn't play that game much longer after he left. It's just not the same.

 

I did manage to play the DLC without him, but damn, that was lonely. So I've started yet another Lavellan so that I can take him with me this time.

Yeah, my first playthrough of the DLC had to be post game because the only chars I had that were pre-Temple, one was stuck in the Winter Palace and the other wasn't high enough.  And all I kept thinking was, I bet Solas would have something to say about this or that or whatnot.  Now I'm not sure I can run my other post ending chars through the DLC heh.

 

I think I'll leave my two current chars before the Temple for any other DLC comes out until we get to the last DLC.
