This is when I admit that if Ameridan had lived, and wasn't so obviously hung up on Telana, my Lavellan would have jumped that silver fox in a heartbeat.  Because DAMN.

You know what, that's a story I could get behind. Ameridan alive and well, Solas gone, Lavellan and Ameridan finding friendship and comfort in each other - the only other person who really knows WTF they are dealing with - and they allow themselves that without drama, without pretense, and just take what the moment offers. They'd both still love their lost loves, certainly, and they would both understand that about each other. It could be beautiful.

As it is now, I don't think she would move on particularly easily. In part because of that fact that, even though Solas ends the relationship (and leaves), it's painfully obvious that he's still in love with her. So there's not a lot of closure there. It's a confusing situation and I think she definitely wants answers or at least closure in some form before she can try and move on. Not this open ended 'I love you but we can never be together because of reasons' business. That just won't fly.

 

However, I think what would really stop her from getting involved with anyone else is the fact that her relationship with Solas was both very intense and very public, and I think she'd be wary of putting herself in that position again now that she's at the helm of this huge organisation where her every action is under enormous scrutiny.

 

I'm out of likes but both of these are very good points and I'd say they apply for mine as well. It's not that she's overly concerned with what everyone else might say or do, but the gossip hurt. The looks, the whispers, the stares at her face missing the vallaslin, and her confusion.

Ah, so you mean finding a character's personality appealing and accepting their flaws, while not necessarily excusing them? Yeah, I definitely agree with that. It's very possible to establish and carry on a friendship with someone even if their ideals/behaviour/processes differ a fair bit from your own on various levels while still maintaining your own integrity, for sure.

 

 

This, and also, despite being in charge, the Inquisitor also has to remember that these people are also colleagues of a sort. You should be able to work with these different people, but as in real life work, you don't have to be each other's best friends, and sometimes your coworkers can have some really off-putting traits.

 

Now, you CAN toss a few people out. You can get rid of Sera, Dorian, Cole, and Blackwall, or choose to not recruit some of them. But the fact it's not all sunshine and agreements can help in a realistic situation where there are multiple valuable perspectives to offer.

He is.  I checked on The IMDB's.  It's likely like GDL - he welsh's it up for certain characters(so the ancient elvhen...i guess) but it's more british most of the time.

I want this now. I want this so hard.  I have so many ships. So many things happening to my Lavellan.  BUT SHE NEEDS THIS.  ugh...he's so sexual.  I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

I thought Abelas was voiced by a different VA...I always thought he was voiced by Mark Bazeley (the same guy who did the Male Sith voice in the SWTOR game)

No. I did serious adult research on this. Also Gaider confirmed it was Gravelle. 

Then I stand corrected!  Thanks for the clarification, someone better hit up the DAWiki for the error

 

EDIT: I haven't played the DLC yet so I can't say for sure (my ears are tuned to certain voice actors now) but now we really need confirmation, I have no idea what's going on anymore!

I haven't listened to this other fellow (Mathew Gravelle), but I too figured Mark's voice was correctly listed (IMDB), since the sound bites I heard sounded so much like those voiced in DA (i.e. Abelas and others).

Okay, quoting myself. This Mathew fellow sounds very much like Abelas. I think it's him. I have noticed that there are a handful of voices that are "similar" to Abelas, and it is possible that Mark did the those additional voices (which his IMDB does state "additional" voices). Or Mark was incorrectly credited on IMDB. Which would never happen, right..??

So if we get to play the Inquisitor in another game and there are more love interests to choose from, do you think your Lavellan would move on (like Shepard with Garrus/Tali/etc. in ME2 from Kaidan/Ashley/Liara) or would you have her keep searching/hoping for Solas?

 

I don't see my Lavellan moving on too quickly. She'd wait. Not because she's that destroyed by the romance or anything- I just think it was such a blow to her ego that someone could reject her. She got burned, she won't be too thrilled to risk that again.

 

Not that I see her as being particularly celibate. She'd still seduce someone if she thought it'd get her something she wanted. Its the emotional side of things she'd be reluctant to engage in again. She's just too proud to admit that it might not have worked out the way she wanted it to.

Two quick questions since I'm not going to read 3724 pages. #1) Since I just beat dragon age inquisition last week(took my sweet time) is there anyway to get solas back post game? It doesn't seem to look like you can. #2) Can I still play the dlc post game without solas? I assume I can.
