Hmm, I don't really follow Solas-related tumblrs despite the fact I share a lot of Solas-related fanarts from Tumblr (believe it or not). I tend to follow artists and screenshot blogs so I could share to you some artist blogs and screenshot blogs that have a lot of Solas in them.

LOL, lemme tell you about not good.  I picked up a set of armor that was an upgrade, but had the ugly yellow plaid.  So I didn't wanna inflict in on Viv or Dorian, but it had the best stats, and I figured Solas wouldn't mind.

 

Then I got the Fade Kiss. In the F***ING YELLOW PLAID.  I considered switching the armor, but it made me laugh so hard at Solas.  It was like, "You're gonna kiss her like *that* wearing *THAT*?!  Oh Solas you sexy loser."

I want to deny it, but part of the initial charm was the pathetic understated dorkiness. I am trash.

So when I was lying in bed last night, in that awesomely comfortable state between wakefulness and sleep, I had a chunk of Solas' dialogue repeat in my mind, and it occurred to me that not a single one of GDL's deliveries of Solas' lines fell flat for me. I honestly can't think of anything Solas says that sounds anything but good, as far as the voice acting is concerned.

 

So I fell asleep thinking, hot damn, we really hit the jackpot with voice actors in general in this game, and doubly so for Solas. GDL is just so spot on for Solas' character. I feel like a good 80% of my affection for Solas is caught up in what he says and how he says it. So. I might have to build a co-shrine to Patrick Weekes and GDL: the former for writing the best character and accompanying dialogue ever, and the latter for having a wonderful voice coupled with the ability to convey metric ****-tonnes of nuanced emotion.

P.S. - What's everyone's favourite Solas dialogue? Romance, general, antagonistic, party banter or otherwise. Tell me plz, so I can read the dialogue back in the voice in my head. ;3
