In terms of Solas' voice acting, this banter in particular came to mind too:
Subtle, yet the emotion necessary is there throughout. Especially once you know what this all means.
James Norton also did an amazing job as Cole. Getting Cole 'right' had to be a challenge too.
I also love his "a figure of speech", all proud of himself, the dork.

Snark. He's pretty amazing with the snark. Which is probably why I like him. Unapologetic intelligence and knowledge, strong opinions and snark. These combined make the perfect person for me.

I really love all his lines, but a few stick out that I like either because of revealing character or just 'cause. Agreed on the Winter Palace lines.

Well i manage to cry again:( I swear i pray every single day for Solas closure ..it's just that one thing that doesn't let me move on in life ..

Solas: I know that they are intelligent, practical creatures that small-minded fools think of as terrible beasts.
This one is also gold, for a variety of reasons:
Solas: By the end of Hard in Hightown, almost every character is revealed as a spy or a traitor.
Varric: Wait, you read my book?
Solas: It was in the Inquisition library. Everyone but Donnen turned out to be in disguise. Is that common?
Varric: Are we still talking about books or are you asking if everyone I know is a secret agent?
Solas: Are there many tricksters in dwarven literature?
Varric: A handful, but they're the exception. Mostly they're just honoring the ancestors. It's very dull stuff. Human literature? Now there's where you'll find the tricky, clever, really deceptive types.
Solas: Curious.
Varric: Not really. Dwarves write how they want things to be. Humans write to figure out how things are.

Right well, just a bunch of (in hindsight, all the more interesting!) Solas lines. Not banter, but:
