Have a serious Solas. Not nearly as silly, but the sketching progress continues! I swear, I will eventually, one day, somehow, branch out and try the actual color tools instead of just the pencil . . . maybe.

I disagree. Solas doesn't have a problem with the qunari as a people in the first place. He has a problem with the Qun. He likes qunari, just fine. Like Iron Bull (if IB goes "tal-vashoth"), the qunari inquisitor, the qunari baker he saw from the fade, etc. And he's got a problem with Qun followers, such as IB if he chooses the Qun over the Chargers, or that elf guy in IB's personal quest. 

What Solas really hates is slavery--slavery of the mind, slavery of the body, slavery of the emotions. He doesn't like the restrictions of the Circles and he doesn't like the Cant of the Wardens, (the end justifies the means). He doesn't like it when cultures enslave their people to customs and more than he likes cultures that enslave people. He likes for people to think for themselves, to test every hypothesis against the facts, to explore every contradiction in terms to find out where the flaw is in the premise. Like the Buddha who exhorted his "followers" to test everything, even his words, Solas believes in freedom of thought tested against the cold hard facts of reality. IMHO

He may well believe that about himself. But I think the discussion earlier (which I really enjoyed reading) was more about his ability to judge what constitutes those facts, and how that judgement can sometimes be way, way off.
