It's actually really sad and kind of sweet. He's fallen for her and both glad and disapointed she doesn't feel the same way.

So I made a thing, because it's Easter, and we're here to celebrate Best Egg. Because this is how I imagine Solas being every time we go in the Fade. Because DAT BOOTY. And also because BSN Solas thread is best thread.
Spoiler
Is he Best Wolf and Best Egg then?
Also, butt.
I finished Jaws of Hakkon last night
Since it's Easter, here are some pics of Solas easter eggs. xD
And some art again:
Fenris/Hawke and Solas/Lavellan
Why is Tranquil!Solas becoming a thing?! D: "Easter Egg decoration!!" says the artist. ![]()

Weekes confirmed on Twitter that the Rite would work on Solas. Naturally, some fans just got on that angst train and refused to disembark.

I... I thought of something terrible. Asexual Tranquil!Solas. The almost as ultimate platonic friendship as Cole friendship.
Lavellan flirts with Solas to no avail. Tranquil!Solas feels uncomfortable. Tranquil!Solas reports to HR.

PSA: eating and the laugh from reading this post don't mix very well.
Wouldn't it be awesome, though, if even the opportunity to do so came about? It would imply sitting in judgment of Solas. So, more Solas, if nothing else. And being able to make him Tranquil seems like it would have enormous ramifications that devs could not really even allow to occur because so much would change. So yeah, I would love a world that allowed you to do something like that, even if it is terrible, because more paths and choices and endings are my favorite things.
I also wish Tranquility could be used as a punishment by non-mage inquisitors, say with Vivienne or recruited Templars, or, etc. It always seemed like the mages would be least likely to use it, but are the only ones able. I really wanted to make Erimond Tranquil to abruptly end his gloating about transcending death.
"Transcend this, jerk." "I remember feeling very pleased with myself, but I am unable to recall why." "Hehe."
(Edited for clarity)
Honestly they could have done alot of terrible things as portrayed in DAI concepts, like be able to be a divine, especially a male qunari one. Or visit the one-armed Anders. and so on.
edit: I felt asshole!inquisitor was not asshole as it could have been. So much potential.

Yeah, a bit, "I ate the cookies you left out for Santa." "No! You monster!" "******, please. I am your Santa, now. ...But I left the carrots for the reindeer. No reindeer starve on my watch." The potential power of the Inquisition sliding into Bad Things remaining largely potential is partially what made me wonder if there really was a possibility they were going to repeat-protagonist, or if some things would be deemed inevitable and seen later from a distance.
I never go full jerkface in these games, so I was actually pretty horrified that you could do things like make people Tranquil if you're a mage. But there are a lot of threads hinting at the potential in terms of the Inquisition's future that they seem to be leaving loose for now. Gives them a lot of room.
Debating buying and reading Asunder....I need something to read and can't decide what I want.

Any original content centers upon the experience or background of the Inquisitor and does not change canon.
Oh, neat, that's how I did mine, too. I come from a roleplaying background where making stories together means you don't speak for other people's characters, so while I like seeing people write original stuff, I'm just used to stringing together other people's things with my own to make a patchwork story from a different perspective. With all of the people creatively going their own way, I didn't think anyone would be interested in a story they've basically already seen the main points of, from the new view of a protagonist they don't care about.
That came out wrong and is why I don't speak. "I didn't mean no one will care about yours... or that it's not interesting... I meant before I knew about yours, that's what I - never mind."
I hope that if Wolf Hunt is a thing that the devs use the memory reading mechanic they've established to give us the backstory on Solas and Cory. I don't need it to be the main point of the DLC but I really want to know the hows and wherefores.

I also use what's already there as a sort of skeleton. I fill in the gaps but still use the framework given. But I respect and enjoy other takes, even the occasional AU.
My stuff tends to be micro scenes focused on feelings and moments anyhow. That's how it's mostly coming out.

Pretty sure whenever this DLC comes out, everyone will be bringing Cole along. I know I will.
I love taking the scenes, such as FadeTongue in Haven and expanding upon them. The feeling stays the same but the context becomes so much more meaningful.
It also dawned on me after finishing JoH last night, after dragging it out as long as possible, just how long we will be waiting for new DLC.
It's still a few weeks away for 3/5 platforms, which means many players will need time to finish it and then whatever DLC they have in between before we get story stuff.
But after JoH, my guess is we don't see anything else until ...July? Later?
I wonder if my feelings will settle down by then.

Yeah, I am probably so used to working within other people's parameters that I enjoy coloring in other people's traces. Solas and my elf were also fighting-rivals for some time, so I liked writing about how people change over time under the main story.
