I tend to write what I call interstitial FF, that is FF that fits between the gaps of what we actually see happen in-game. 

 

So my latest fics Frilly Cakes in Skyhold, Non-descript and the one I've just started Hiraeth would fit this description.

 

Fen'Harel and the Tree, on the other hand, is an alternative version of that fable... moved from the rural POV Dalish tradition gave it to suburban Arlathan...

I suppose it's kind of a good think I have a 360 and not a One. I know how long I have to wait..pretty much. Everyone that's played it just has to sit here..waiting and waiting..not knowing when the next DLC will be.  I feel for you all.  But also..it sucks having a 360 because I do have to wait until May and EVERYONE else has played it and is talking about it and I'm just sitting here, twiddling my thumbs.  lalalalalaaaa

Wouldn't it be awesome, though, if even the opportunity to do so came about? It would imply sitting in judgment of Solas. So, more Solas, if nothing else. And being able to make him Tranquil seems like it would have enormous ramifications that devs could not really even allow to occur because so much would change. So yeah, I would love a world that allowed you to do something like that, even if it is terrible, because more paths and choices and endings are my favorite things.

 

I also wish Tranquility could be used as a punishment by non-mage inquisitors, say with Vivienne or recruited Templars, or, etc. It always seemed like the mages would be least likely to use it, but are the only ones able. I really wanted to make Erimond Tranquil to abruptly end his gloating about transcending death.

Making Erimond Tranquil was the best judgement I ever got to do.  Seeing that smug look wiped off his face was worth the hit to disapproval I took with pretty much everyone.

I played post Cory and it's so perfect if you played a Lavellan romanced by Solas! You can just feel those moments and see her grow into an independent woman who will never forget him. She has Cassandra, Cole and Dorian (my Mage in place of Solas and her bff) helping her through it, and the banter has been quite nice!

 

My Lavellan #2 is a mage....so...I think more potential feelings.

I wish I could have went into the fade a witnessed big events and just explored the fade While Solas told me complex things about the fade, spirits and magic. That would have been really good content with Solas and made me more attached and made me respect him even more and made what happened in the credits even more shocking.

Well how about a baker's dozen? You can put an egg on each toast and put two toasts to make a sandwich for that special rainy day.

It also dawned on me after finishing JoH last night, after dragging it out as long as possible, just how long we will be waiting for new DLC.

 

It's still a few weeks away for 3/5 platforms, which means many players will need time to finish it and then whatever DLC they have in between before we get story stuff.

 

But after JoH, my guess is we don't see anything else until ...July? Later?

 

I wonder if my feelings will settle down by then.

That's what I'm afraid of. I need to keep my feels until the next DLC!

Hopefully writing fan fiction/making art will keep me content.

I made Florianne my jester.  In flat shoes.

 

I never thought I'd ever make anyone Tranquil, but after making me choose between Hawke and Alistair?  There was no way I was letting him off easily with death.

Ameridan's story is pretty similar to Lady Lavellan's, right down to an LI who has funky dream powers.

Although, I'd guess that the whole "spent the rest of her life trying to find him again" thing might serve as a wake up call for a Lavellan who wants to track down Solas.

I just found myself in an old thread reading pre-release Solas speculation and laughing. Some of it was almost, kind of going toward the right track but some of these posts are quite amusing in hindsight.

 

Just sort of thinking a bit more about Felassan, Fen'Harel's sleep, and the existence/function/usage of eluvians - separately, but there are mysteries to each, yet. So I stumbled upon Felassan/Fen'Harel stuff and went from there.

I'm pleased that I called 'ancient elf' before the game was out.  I may not have seen 'really Fen'Harel' coming but I was right about the ancient elf part!
