this^ is one of the most dramatic posts I have ever seen...well done ![]()
Can they be pink wigs? With butterflies?

Re: Solas's hair: I've grown fond of the baldness but the ponytail mohawk type thing they had him with in the War Room concept art is really cool. I'd be happy either way.
You're all so excited and it's adorable!
I hope there actually is a Solas reveal today (or any info dropped about anything at all), disappointed sad pandas just wouldn't do.
Solas in the Sims is awesome! Can I add it to the OP? I think it would be nice in the Just For Fun Section.
Same goes for Solas in Dragon's Dogma by the way. Could I add that as well, to the person who made it?
I think it was sandal 2.0 that was asking about the bald elf in the video: some people speculated it to be an associate of Sera's from Friends of Red Jenny's. He is dressed the same as Athenril the smuggler and her pals are in DA2.
And welcome to our new faces. ![]()
Also I enjoyed reading the speculating you guys were doing on Solas's personality a few pages back.

That dragon gif is an accurate representation of what I'm going to be like later today, brilliant!
@Solas If he does get hair I'm sure we'll probably be seeing you with a new profile pic correct? ![]()
Edit: Also a question if anybody can answer. Can the ancient elves die or are they said to always be sleeping? I suspected they did not die since it is said they are immortal, but in what way are they immortal?

It's possible when we first meet him he has hair... I think one of the devs mentioned that baldness holds some significance for elves (see Zathrian). Solas shaving his head might have plot relevance... that could be kinda cool.

Correct!
And it will be a glorious day.

Ohhh, I like that idea...

Maybe it's his version of Alistair's "hardening." One dialog choice, he keeps his hair and says I love you. The other, he shaves his head and lets his archenemy live and becomes king of the elves. ![]()

They can die any other way than old age. Though I'm not sure what happened to the sleeping ones when the humans came to Thedas. Did the quickening affect them, who knows.

Ooh I like that idea! I'd love to see the companions change based on what choices you made, like when you persuaded them over to the darkside and you see the corruption in their appearance ![]()
Edit: like in SWTOR, not in the DA universe ofcourse ![]()

"Come to the darkside, we have haircuts."

If baldness is really significant to elf culture in some way, do you suppose they are going to tell us before we start. Alternatively, will we be able to change our appearance like in DA2 after character creation. With Hawke I started off with long hair, had her cut it after the prologue on the basis that it would have been more practical having it short in Gamlen's hovel and then grew it again when she made the nobility. So if I start the game with hair and then find out that it has great significance to Solas to shave your head, then my elf would probably do that. But I'm not doing it just to look like him, I need to have a solid piece of lore to base it on.

Pfft, yeah right ![]()
Maybe elves go bald when they become immortal.

Is this the picture you're talking about?

The closer I look at it, the more I think that's supposed to be a hood... Look at how it connects so neatly and perfectly to the collar. If that's supposed to be hair of some sort, it's a pretty bizarre style :\

That would be cool! But it might just be a plot point that the PC has no control over... historically, haven't people shaved their heads when in mourning?

They said that if we have a mirror of transformation type object that we'll get it after launch.
