You're right. Listening to the concerns of your teammates has no place in teamwork! My apologies, I was confused.
You should apologize since I was talking about the part where she kills a man when you don't do what she wants.

I had/have a lot of complaints or criticisms, but I do share difficulties in being able to talk without fear of spoilers for ? amount of time. "Are you going to play/read this in the next ten years? Can I talk about it, then?" I actually narrated a set of very long novels just to have someone to talk about specific points with.
Edited for clarity
I have my own criticisms, and the rather annoying part is we agree on them, to varying degrees so he puts words in my mouth and assigns me opinions I don't even have and have never stated, meanwhile he never even got to Adamant.
At some point, I'll stop asking him to finish and probably just spill, but I'm giving him time. I just don't have much to say that isn't spoilery so his claims of being unable to defend things that I don't agree with (and that he gets right) are hard to do.
Just been on my mind since he tried this again not long ago due to a Witcher trailer.

Layers, there are layers!
Personally, I come for the romances, but stay for everything else. The romances are good, and worthy content alongside playing DA/ME for its combat, or dialogue, or whatever else draws you in in the first place. It's the rest of the series/game in its entirety that keeps you.
For me anyway, x)
I'd say a dalish Mage is more qualified, yes...
I would say that is subjective. Especially because Dalish mages can become abominations as easily as any other mage. And I would also say that not all Inquisitors are Dalish mages. But I'll kindly stop bringing logic into this, this is not the place for logic.
Like Solas and Cassandra. But my Lavellan being a mage who's resisted possession for this long- yes, her too.
Just picture if the PC had tried to disarm Sera instead of meekly standing by while her life is threatened. To Sera that would be "proof" that she's demon possessed. She really thought this through, mm hm.
Or maybe she would have realized that an abomination would of used magic instead of a physical attack. Who knows? Wildcards are wild.
Sera approaches the war table: "I want to discuss what happened at the Temple of Mythal. I'm afraid that the Inquisitor might be compromised or even possessed."You're right. Listening to the concerns of your teammates has no place in teamwork! My apologies, I was confused.
What are Sera's qualifications to evaluate someone for possession?I would say that is subjective. Especially because Dalish mages can become abominations as easily as any other mage. And I would also say that not all Inquisitors are Dalish mages. But I'll kindly stop bringing logic into this, this is not the place for logic.
Yes let's stop bringing in the logic, or I'd have to point out that you were specifically talking to one person, whose inquisitor is Dalish.I would say that is subjective. Especially because Dalish mages can become abominations as easily as any other mage. And I would also say that not all Inquisitors are Dalish mages. But I'll kindly stop bringing logic into this, this is not the place for logic.

Actually she's willing to let him live if you stop talking to him or if you use your head and use Nobility Knowledge to take all his land and power.

As for people talking about their inquisitors, you're pretty much military whether you like the role or not.
Your inquisitor may not fit the role very well, but that just makes them poor military leaders really. Though yes, the order has more of a role than strictly military. The goal however, started by Cassandra, was and is to restore order.
But that doesn't say much as to how the Inquisition itself functions. Are all your companions military officers now, having joined you? Are they assigned a rank and status?
Iron Bull is a mercenary, hired by you. But what of VIvienne? What of Blackwall? The whole strict military organization image doesn't come through very well. Blackwall sleeps in the stables, Solas is free to vandalize the building with graffiti anytime he wants, Sera and Vivienne have lavishly decorated quarters... If it's military, it seems pretty lax to me. You don't hear a lot of this "superior officer" stuff getting thrown around - unless you are talking to Cullen and he's commanding the men or talking about his past.
Actually she's willing to let him live if you stop talking to him or if you use your head and use Nobility Knowledge to take all his land and power.
But only if you don't exhaust your number of options first. It's fine on subsequent playthroughs, you can prepare for it and put a stop to it if you want to, but it's tough on a first PT where you want to explore all of your options before deciding his fate... Until Sera jumps the gun.
I tend to alternate whether or not the noble dies, but if Sera kills him it absolutely must be on my orders. I very nearly kicked her out of the Inquisition on my first PT, and I never let go of a teammate no matter how much I hate them (Diana Allers... If she can be even called a teammate. *shudders*). Instead I reloaded and worked out I could ask my pick options (the why and oi! that was my dude!) and then decide what to do with him.
It is like talking to two brick walls. I have made my points that I wished to make, and I will not continue in a quoting "contest" that derails the thread. If you really really want to get the last word in, PM it to me.
EDIT: To address Addai's late edit of her last post:
It's not about liking or disliking a character. I was discussing her actions towards the Inquisitor that stimulated this argument. I can like a character and disagree with their actions, and vice versa. You accuse me of not paying attention to your posts, when you do not pay attention to mine. I clearly stated in my initial posts that her actions were not thought out, but the motivations behind her actions were in the right place. The entire argument precipitated because she dared disagree with your Inquisitors, and the argument is continuing because I disagree with both of you. When your post consisted of only "where was the scene of Sera doing XYZ" I ignored it because responding would have been pointless and futile.
The bolded is not a statement that a leader would say, it is a statement a tyrant would say.

I play BioWare games mostly for the characters. Whether I personally like them or not, 90% of the time they're interesting people with interesting stories that I want to hear, and that keeps me playing. And TBH at this point, I'm pretty used to the plot or lore or whatever breaking down at times. I mean, for someone who's supposedly been in the military for a while, Shepard can be blatantly unprofessional, lax, and downright embarrassing with nary a consequence. And I just sort of shrug and go with it when the sense and consistency disappears for a bit. Usually it comes back after a brief hiatus. Usually ![]()

I suggest you spray paint something rude on both those brick walls.
I'm thinking "arsebiscuits" or "honorable online debate opponents worthy of mutual respect". Something in between those two would work.

For me, it's a side thing that CAN and usually does add value to the main story/journey. I'm always interested in going on a journey with my player characters and in Inquisition, it was a last second decision to make mine Dalish. I just happened to zero in on the romance most relevant to the plot.
Of course the plot stuff and even the breakup are entwined with his identity so if boyfriend thinks I just played something full of rainbows and easy sap, I can't even tell him the feelings side of it.
But additionally, the romance with Solas has become just one piece. I mean, I still have a lot of feelings and they can be called up for various reasons, but the overall character is such a great creation, including how they left all these clues that you'll notice on subsequent plays but one could've guessed. And how things like his dialogue should always scream "red flag" but he's also just so fascinating and magnetic you go for it anyway.
And yet....the series has been seeing Fen'Harel for three games now, as well as books, and more. And we learn a lot about him while still remaining with a lot of questions by the end. It's intriguing.
And that's incredibly difficult to explain to a naysayer who hasn't even done Adamant. ![]()
As for the inquisition not resembling strict military, bull does bow to your judgement, letting his men live or die by your word, even if a merc. It's a lot more military than not.
Yes, but that's Bull. That doesn't say anything for the rest of your companions or how the remainder of the Inquisition functions..

I was just going to request and/or post that.
This thread needed it.
I might have also needed it.
