Youch. It's sad how many people write off Mass Effect or BioWare in general based on the ending of ME3. Whatever train wreck that was, the games are still awesome until that point. They certainly didn't deserve what the last 15 minutes made of the series.

I have a friend who wrote off DA:I because the faces are too sweaty.  -_- lol

Good, good. More for Solas.

(Solas greatly approves.)

Can't we? Looks just like the formal attire, only in white/blue. Now with armor tinting it should be easy?

Now, yes, but I meant at the ball, including for the cutscenes. When you get it at the ball, unless modded, it's still the standard until you get back to Skyhold.

Also, someone was working on a mod to remove his stupid clipping hat.

Ooooh I love doing that. And then take shitload of silly screenshots of my Inquisitor stuck in that pose.

Spoiler

Oh good, not just me then.

Speaking of screenshots, I realized that I seem to have taken way more of Solas in the beginning of my mage play than I did on my initial rogue play. Indomitable focus? What focus?

There's a "realistic sweat" mod where you can have beads just pouring over everyone. Like....what.

I've already mentioned the boyfriend who complains about DAI and thinks I like the game and Solas due to romance. Because that must be the reason why I'd play 'a bad game'.

What is the puppet bug?

Well, it's...

If you jump right after before a conversation, your character will just sort of freeze in place mid jump.  The arms are pulled back and it looks like you're a puppet on a string.  You're also sort of kicking your legs and floating about which adds to it. It's pretty funny.

Thank you, Kissiebear.

My favorite is Krem on the chair. Accidental superiority complex galore.

He also sticks his beer bottle up his nose.

There is only one mature, appropriate response to your boyfriend's complaints:

Pretty much me at this point. I also laugh and tell him to stop. At this point, it's tiresome. Finish and maybe then you can even try to have an opinion.

Some cosplayer did a photo shoot of them as Krem sitting on a chair in the way he does in the game.

That is amazing. I know it's not Solas related, but if you have links could you share them here?

(I ship Krem with a random villager who was standing on a table in the Hinterlands.)

Well, of course. No wonder we need to pick up Elfroot so much.

Yet I can't blame him. It was years of waiting (even more than me, since I player ME3 when it was just out) and preparation playng many different runs at ME1/2.

The problem is, the ending is something people have played for for three games, Is the biggest delusion one can have after having played for all those hours, the ending should be the reward of all those hours of shooting and running.

I'm now less angry at the tricolor ending, but it took me years. And even now, I can't really think of buyng another ME game ever. The scar is there, and is deep.

Honestly, by this point I would wait until the next time he started snarking about it and respond with, "actually, Solas is Fen'Harel, the elven god of rebellion, and the lore revelations of finding this out and piecing it together with all the past game stuff is fascinating. I can't wait to see what they do with that in DLC or the next game."

Because he deserves to be spoiled for being a jerk. :P

Oh, and does anyone have a specific map marker location from where you actually get the flower crown once you've completed the quest?

Unfortunately, it's kind of not that simple. Travel to the bone whatever camp, then head kind of southeast, walk over some wooden planks, you'll find a cave (a bit to the right , I think? I'm in another state away from my gaming PC at the moment). Walk through it. On the other end, there will be some fallen stones and things you can jump on. You'll have to get someone up there at the highest point and jump THROUGH the wall. Then down some stairs.

I'm sure there's a video showing you better than my telling you from memory.

My friend said the same thing and I'm willing to give him slightly more time, but eventually, this will probably happen. ^_^

I love that in the first photo, the bottle isn't even aligned to their (closed) lips. Wonderful detail. :)

I don't know why. But every time I hear this song, it makes me think of Solevallen. Though, I'm not sure how well it fits.

I remember there's a banter where Dorian asks what elves call elfroot, and Solas says they have other names for it but doesn't elaborate.

This was what I thought of immediately.

On a sort of related note, I finally finished a draft of the fic I was writing. I originally thought it would be in the series of shorts I was writing, but it got too long for that. I feel like it's a little disconnected, since it's mostly about my Lavellan's past with memories jarred from the past by a similar incident in the present. But it's a draft. And I think I managed to capture an awkward first kiss kind of okay....ish.

No, Blackwell asks Solas replies "We have another name for it altogether..." and then Blackwell replies "That's no fun..."

It's the kind of stupid you have to put up with from people who have no knowledge or awareness of other languages and cultures or how they work [differently...]. Like a Spaniard asking an English person, so what do you call a "llave inglesa", the reply? A spanner... Dude.
