When you have that one conversation about 'sparring' do you have to choose the option 'That's not what I meant' to advance the romance? I chose a different one, and I'm thinking it didn't work. It seems like EVERY OTHER CHARACTER on the Normandy is trying to hook up with my Shepard, EXCEPT GARRUS. HEEELP MEEEEEEEEEE

Shhh, we are neighbours. It's practically a 90's sitcom. And the only difference between me and you, at this party that will most definitely happen (pretty much the only party I'd ever agree to show up at), is that I'd get drunk off of two beers.

 

I fully sanction Ranger/Mountie/RCMP Solas in tiny shorts. And beavers, somehow, somewhere.

I entered my bedroom (as Shepard) not expecting anyone to be there, and there Garrus was, all sprawled out across my bed, trying to be all come hither-ish, and I looked at his mandible mouth and was like, but how do we do it. And that's all I remember.

 

What the actual ****. I haven't even played through the Mass Effect series.

I entered my bedroom (as Shepard) not expecting anyone to be there, and there Garrus was, all sprawled out across my bed, trying to be all come hither-ish, and I looked at his mandible mouth and was like, but how do we do it. And that's all I remember.

 

I want that dream.

 

As for how we do it, it's a dream.  It'll make sense while I'm asleep, at least, and that's sufficient.  I just won't think about it too hard in the morning

So, I imagine this has almost certainly been covered in this thread already, but I had a certain sense of excitement today, related to Solas.

 

I started two different characters, and played through the into with both. With one of them, I maximized approval with Solas at first meeting, and with the other I went with aggressive choices and didn't ask any questions, rendering 0 approval. 

 

When we were headed to the forward camp, and the mark acted up, Solas' reaction was different. 

 

For the female Trevelyan, who had gained approval, he appealed to her. "For your own sake, let's move quickly."

 

For the male Trevelyan, with no approval points, he appealed to Cassandra. "If we don't get him there quickly, etc."

 

I'm hoping it is approval based, and not just alternate dialogues for each gender, because I think that's a pretty cool touch.

I wish I could send it to you! I was just... so perplexed by how we'd kiss that I didn't know quite what to do. I clinically acknowledged to myself that we'd be doin' the do, but was like, um, how we do this, bra? I don't know. Maybe I'll be really grateful for this dream in hindsight once I play the series and romance Garrus, as I intend to, thanks to your testimony, Sable.

Citadel was just such great DLC that I really hope that whatever we do get even begins to resonate that well (of course, the circumstances of being through three games with some of those people already make things different).

At least your subconscious didn't have you dream that you two were happily romancing each other, then just when you two were about to kiss at camp (what DAO's Camp was doing in Inquisition is beyond me) Empress Celene arrived with her ridiculous court ball getup, then for some reason that you cannot fathom you went behind the tents to have sex with her instead, then came back to find Solas broken-hearted.

 

My subconscious hates me. 

 

Oof.  You have my sympathies.

 

My subconscious never lets me dream about Dragon Age.  Or any of the fictional universes I like to inhabit.  Instead it comes up with oddities like wolves who eat magical jello on ski lifts.  Or an Olympic sport that involves slingshotting yourself between skyscrapers on giant rubber bands.  Or a bike gang with hovercraft motorcycles that can shoot up vertical surfaces and deploy wings like flying squirrels.

I know, right? It's actually kind of odd I haven't spent more time in here, considering the fact that I loved Solas from the first conversation in Haven. From the very first discussion of spirits and the fade. 

 

But since I was playing Trevelyan...y'know. Sometimes, we gravitate toward the romances? 

 

Anyway, It happens that one my current play through, the one I'm mostly focusing on, is my Solasmancing Rogue Tempest Lavellan, Ninaeve.

I think I've had all the romance content before the ending. I've had his personal quest and the second kiss, the ball at the Winter Palace. 

 

That first kiss was a really fun scene.

It's probably not all that active at the moment; it's been years since ME3, and not more than a peep about ME4.  Or the next Mass Effect, whatever they're calling it.  But they were really fun, chill people.  Like all of you
