I had totally lost any semblance of faith in the marketing team, but if they end up showing the Blackwall/Solas/Cole combo in future screenshots and this possible demo at Gamescom, then my faith will be restored.

 

It makes sense now.

 

Cass, Viv, and Varric were shown together a lot initially.

 

Bull, Dorian, and Sera are shown together in the E3 demo.

 

Now they just need to give the spotlight to Blackwall, Solas, and Cole to make things fair.

At least you can tell it's Blackwall in the front, since he's wearing the same helmet here:

 

I mean I guess it could be possible that it's an Inquisitor, but I'm like 90% positive it's Blackwall. So yeah, very exciting!

 

Edit: Though I guess I would be kind of upset if Blackwall and Cole were shown, but no Solas  He'd be the only one left out!

I would be intensely disappointed and start thinking that Solas must either have super spoilery stuff going on or is being tweaked still.

Yanno, it looks like the big ol' hat Cole was stuck in during the EA press conference. Just a different angle. The rest of the outfit looks like the default Cole outfit.

Anyway, whoever it is: Inquisitor and Blackwall OR Cole and Blackwall- whatever- I think it's Cole and Blackwall if we're still up for debate. The shape/ silouette makes me think Cole. The colors/ patterning are more like Solas, but it's that strange power-shoulder thing Cole has going on that makes me think it's Cole. Along with the plausible hat.

 

Also Kelgrid thinks it's Cole and while I don't know her know her, her Cole senses seem pretty sharp.

Either way, if we get Blackwall/Solas/Cole as the combo for the whole of GamesCom, I'd be ecstatic (please, let there be banter if we see them!)

Oh, wow, yeah, close-up like that it really does look like the Good Spirit Hat.

 

I'm gonna waffle on this until Gamescom.

Maybe Cole is pretty far behind.
...Actually, I don't think I even know anymore. The figure just looks odd. Wish it could be clearer, but I'm pretty sure that's the purpose.

I like how we're all squinting and trying to figure out who is the blurry figure. "Is it a NPC with a huge collar and a helmet? Is it Cole with the good spirit hat? It is Cole with the good spirit hat and Solas behind him?" Reminds me of that one Solas pic where he's in the foreground with Cassandra behind him and then Varric almost completely hidden behind Cassandra.
