Whoo! Progress is good. I said I would start the actual writing phase today... and I wrote more Solavellan fluff instead. I have no willpower. 

 

I tried to do another Solavellan scene that I have planned but my writing there just isn't gelling, so I have a document with some stray lines I liked with a whole bunch of gaps at the moment.

 

The other idea only came to me yesterday after putting up my last thing, but I feel that one is going to probably get done first. I'm sure I will make a bunch of attempts at the right dialogue, but I have the premise and her basis for relating.

 

These things do work in some odd ways, but I'll take being inspired over not being inspired.

it's so weird how emotional attachment changes your perception of how attractive someone is. I remember being fairly uninspired with promo images but now he's so beautiful i could literally cry over ever plane and crease and freckle on his stupid bald head.

Yep, this exactly. I was like 'he's so.....angular' and bald, and his eyes are kind of small, and his face is weird and now....

 

 

now I spend time looking at hi-res screenshots and looking longingly over that face and wanting to trace those angles.

I know. I wasn't attracted to him when I saw the promo images. I was just like, "Okay, bald elf dude. And romanceable for female elves? Okay, that's interesting."

 

Now I think he's the most beautiful bastard in the game. The voice, that jawline, his lips, his small eyes, the bald head, the dimpled chin, his broad shoulders, nice butt...

Edit: On topic, it was initially just the Welsh-ness that drew me in. And the charm. But, like everyone else, I too have fallen into the 'bald elf is suddenly attractive' hole.

Yes..I did not find him attractive until he started talking...then it was all over. Now I think it's the sexiest, most adorable man in a video game ever.   I could look at his face all day...in fact, I do since I have a pic of him as my wallpaper...hehe.

I tend to fall for people via personality and at that point, the looks come to represent the whole package. Boyfriend and I met in a game and all of our early interaction was just in the game and messengers, then the phone, and I didn't even see pictures until about 2 months after we began to really talk to each other and had already been having long phone conversations.

 

It worked out that way and so I'm not surprising that the personality always wins me over first. So I wasn't prepared for Solas, but I understand exactly why it happened and why I feel like this now. It's a lot of things, who he is as a person (I don't mean just being Fen'Harel, though that adds dimensions), all of the layers, his values, way of speaking, the feelings underneath, how physical he is.

 

Even bf told me I would love him.

Don't know about KD Lang, though. Haven't heard of them.

 

EDIT: I like my hellspiral to have a bit of a beat to it so I can at least jam out instead of just dissolving into a pile of tears.

KD Lang has a gorgeous voice.  Her album "Drag" got me hooked on her ages ago.  "Invincible Summer" is amazing, in particular Love's Great Ocean which quickly became one of my all-time favorite love songs.

I was going to make it sexier... but meh. Didn't feel up to it. 

 

I just can't bring myself to be super serious, at least not for the past few days. I /want/ to write more serious thoughts, but I'm on antibiotics, and my brain just feels fuzzy and clouded. I'm not sure how I ever survived school like this. x.x 

 

But it was such a cute prompt. I hope the person who requested it actually sees it. I love taking requests and making people happy.

It works with the intimate nature of the unbraiding and the touches of humor. If fluff helps you feel better and get through, that's a good thing.

 

With my not sharing a tent thing, I wasn't even aiming for what spilled out, it just came out that way, so I went with it. I've hit a wall on what to do with ending that short bit, if anything. You know what, I just looked it over and I'm adding to my series as-is.

I think writing Abelas is just really emotionally draining, so by the time I hop back to Maiwe, I just don't want to deal with that extra level of emotional exhaustion.

Varric unbuttons the rest of his shirt.

 

I just got Marjolaine and Evangeline: tragic flaw. 

It starts with quick glances, sly smiles and casual brushes against each other during crowded orlesian balls that lingered a little longer than necessary.

 

The next thing the beautiful templar knew, she was held against a wall as the bard made use of her clever tongue.

 

With quick, deft fingers Marjolaine hungrily tugged at the straps of Evangeline's ceramonial helm, slid off her protective mail coif, untied her padded leather cap, then let the silk sunburst tabard slide to the floor.

 

Shaking with barely concealed lust, Marjolaine impatiently lifts the gorget above her head, unbuckles her cuirass and tassets, runs her hands down the fastenings of her pauldrons, gardbraces, vanbraces and gauntlets, letting the mass of metal clatter to the floor.

 

Breathing hard, she kneels to unbuckle the poleyns, greaves, sabatons... then looks up at the blushing templar to realize her supple womanly figure was still enrobed in a reinforced boiled leather jacket over chain mail over what looks like another three layers of actual clothing she's going to have to get through, plus boots.

Skywatcher and Cullen Rutherford: Cuppycake gumdrops

Drawn together by a mutual love of fur trimming, Cullen works through his lyrium addiction by embracing the savage passion the avvar offers.

 

Entangled together beneath the bed sheets, Cullen looks adoringly up into the eyes of Skywatcher, asking what it was he was moaning during sex.

 

Skywatcher explains it is an old Avvar endearment which translates to a sort of confection they bake in stone ovens, made from goat lard, honey and cornstarch, and that it's fluffy golden texture reminded him of Cullen.  

"BLOOD MAGIC!" the knight commander shrieked, menacing her sword at the recalcitrant pickle jar which refused to open. No amount of screaming or threats seemed to make it even marginally more inclined to open. But she knew. The knight commander just knew it was practicing forbidden arts, she could see the cold of the glass beginning to bead sweat in the warm sunlight of her office. Clearly a sign of guilt.

 

"Maybe ask it again in a nicer way, but with more feeling" said a voice. Meredith looked around the empty room, but saw no one. This did not concern her over much, there were a lot of voices in her head these days.

 

When she turned back to her interrogation, the jar had seemingly opened itself.

 

The Warden & Sandle: Holding Hands

Weighed down by the burden of command, the warden slumps alone by the fireplace, until she feels a rough warm hand grasp her own. 

 

"enchantment"

 

Eyes sparkling with tears of gratitude, the warden leans against the dwarf, the only person who truly understands her.

"I've met someone" blushed the tiny elf to the pirate queen.

 

Isabela slaps the tavern table with a guffaw and calls for a celebratory round. "what's he like? got a nice arse?"

 

"i'm not sure, it's a... bit of a long distance relationship" Merrill mumbles into her half finished ale. "We send messages back and forth, and he wants to meet! My keeper says i shouldn't date men i meet in strange mirrors but i'm sure it will be fine
