OMG, I'd have romanced Orsino in a hot second if I'd had the chance, lol. He was like my second favourite elf in DA2 after Fenris (sorry Merrill!). Part of my attraction for Solas stems from the fact he kinda reminds me of Orsino

Elf companions not wearing proper shoes is my favorite thing. It just makes them look adorable, like they're trying to be more one with the earth or something. That or they understand how much more fun it is to run around barefoot.
I hope there's some nice sandals or shoeless armor options in inquisition, because I want to run around as a tree hugging, shoe hating dalish elf.

Oh, my. So late to the party. Was on vacation all last week and all I could do is throw out a few likes (when slow hotel internet would cooperate, then I was off the grid entirely hiking for a few days - Solas would have approved I think). I missed the amazing festival of love, tolerance and confessions in the thread. HUGS EVERYONE. You all are such amazing people. Wish I had 1000 likes to go back to all the posts I wanted to like. The Solas thread is the best!
And, on topic. I have always fallen on the side of wanting boots for my elves - rough country is rough. After hiking this week in Glacier National Park I can safely say that you would not want to hike any of that barefoot. Good hiking boots left me with only one tiny blister.

Between baking hot road asphalt in the Floridian sun to these lovely little seedpods we colloquially call "gumballs", barefoot outside is rather painful usually.
