That scene is very intimate if you don't get him to remove your vallaslin. Solas accepting Lavellan for who she is - it's so wonderful and sweet.
I know you probably didn't mean anything by your comment but I see so many Solasmancer who had their vallaslin removed who act very superior to those of us who chose to keep them that I just immediately go on defensive.
No, it's sweet and meaningful either way, but I was actually referring to the additional animations for the act itself.
All of us to Solas right now:
The thirst is real.

I also got 'Malcom Hawke and the Architect: A Marriage of Convenience' It's such a shame that it wasn't Cornflakes so it could give Legacy a whole new layer of subtext.
This would be awesome! Though I have a feeling they are heading for Morrigan to be Flemeth's replacement, not Solas. I think whatever Solas is planning seems to require more...action on his part, rather than just setting pieces in place. I don't think he's going to die however and I don't think he'll be the next antagonist, I do think that whatever he does is going to release or cause the next antagonist to show up though.
What I've been seeing is a lot of theories that he's going to be the next antagonist - which (personally, and not to offend anyone) I think is just silly if you honestly paid attention to him during DAI. I don't think all his choices are necessarily beneficial to all people equally, but I don't think he's intentionally trying to harm anyone.
I've been dwelling over the Flemeth angle simply because I think releasing the Ancient Elvhen pantheon, assuming that is his plan, is something that will be done on-screen by the next PC in DA4, IMO...and it will either be through coercion, deception, or appeal on Solas' part. It seems like way too big of a plot point to handle off-screen alone, or via a DAI DLC.
I may be completely wrong and I'm not putting all my eggs in my hypothetical basket, it just seems to me a logical train of thought when I consider how significant Fen'Harel would/could be in the DA-verse. I think he's a resource they're not going to squander.
'The Iron Bull and Moria Therein: Friends with benefits'
Bull is Maric's father. Canon.
Between hellspiraling, what I think is a weather-related pressure headache, and having trouble with dialogue writing, I'm ready for more prompts, I think.

Illyria, pour vous: Shakespeare and the magisters. I may need help. Erimond might have also written another tear-soaked Ode to the Coryphy-D. So.
So like...don't you just want to shake him?
All the goddamn time ![]()

Then why is Maric so fail? Did Bull drop him on his head as a kid? ![]()

I was about to ask how you knew I'm a Shakespeare fan but then I realised - the username. Kind of gives it away.
EDIT: I love it. It's amazing.

I got a couple of really cute ones yesterday by asking on Tumblr... and I have a backlog of some other ones I might do at some point. People looove sending prompts in.
... But I'm really excited about this one, because I get to throw some Arlathan residue in there.

I agree with you on this. They've taken a LOT of care with this character, and, especially with giving us the chance to spend hours and hours with Solas, in light of all the the Dalish legends about Fen'Harel - they want players to come away with some juxtaposition, to think, to consider what this all means. I think some people really don't pay attention to Solas' subtleties. He's not out to cause anyone harm and, in fact, deeply (DEEPLY) regrets the harm his actions have led to.
I don't buy this antagonist angle and feel like there's a lot more planned here.

Okay, now I see what you meant. Sorry for going on the defensive.

My only pitch for Solas as an antagonist is that it's been SO LONG since we had a really threatening villain. Jade Empire was the last BioWare game with a villain where I thought, "S***, I might LOSE. This guy is just that good."
I also doubt that Solas will be an antagonist, but if he is, he has the potential to be a brilliant one. Persuasive, intelligent, and subtle. Basically what the Illusive Man should have been instead of Bond villain evil.

I think the 'Solas as Antagonist' people fall into two camps;
1) The people who didn't pay that much attention to his character and just went 'Argh! Dread Wolf = Bad! Listen to that spooky music, yo! Guy is a straight up douche!'
and 2) The people who did pay attention to his character and think he could become an unwitting antagonist in that his goal may not actually be beneficial for Thedas.
Personally, I don't think it's going to swing that way. But I can see where people are getting the idea from.

Same. I doubt he will be. PW took such great care to make him be sympathetic - remember the Inquisitor doesn't know anything right now. So when it comes time for the reckoning it's probably just going to be emotional or just heated(if you're unfriendly). At the end of the day, the point was to make Solas a person. Flawed and sympathetic. You were supposed to feel for him. I think what he may do though will be incredibly questionable so whatever happens it's supposed to be a conflict for the player/inquisitor. Because you want to root for him but he's just ****** up.
I agree though. We need another good villain. Maybe the Forgotten Ones or someone in the Pantheon???

I agree, I really don't think he's antagonist material. I think he's going to do whatever it is he's got planned and then that will be that. I am wondering if he isn't going to accidentally create or cause the next antagonist to show however.

This could also be true, but we got our Inquisition antagonist from a DLC, so I'm not convinced that the next antagonist can't be introduced via DLC.
But I don't think releasing the Ancient Elvhen pantheon is his plan, maybe the forgotten ones? Who may now be the Archdemons? Could explain one of the reasons he wants the Wardens gone. I feel that might be more likely. But I think he might release something he is going to regret releasing in the end. If his plan is to release something I don't think it's going to work like he planned it and hence my thought he might accidentally create the next antagonist.
IDK, my thoughts on Morrigan being the replacement for Flemeth instead of Solas are largely based on Mr. Gaider still being lead writer, which he isn't anymore, so it can go anyway now I suppose.

I hope he's not a resource they're going to squander, but then I thought the same of Flemeth, and look what happened to her, two five minute cameos in the last two games and then supposedly gone.
EDIT: Crap, did I get the top post again?!? SOURCE.

Indeedy, but for people in Camp 2 - can an unwitting antagonist like that support the "villain" role throughout an entire game? He'd be a secondary villain at best, IMO, unless more is revealed about his intentions and the means behind them.
I'm pinning one of the unleashed Elvhen gods to be the next Big Bad... I think it was Dirth'amen or someone who sounded pretty shady in his Temple of Mythal mural? Whichever was the one whose pride made him go after the other god's followers. I don't think someone with that amount of hubris could stand being essentially "forgotten" by the majority.

I'm pulling for Dirthamen as the next antagonist. I think Falon'Din is set up as "obvious", but there are a lot of hints in the game for the Dirthy. He's the only other God whose temple we visit. It's Dirthamen's staute in the Fade when you meet up with Flemeth. Something is up with him.

IMO Flemeth is the sort of character whom you can't afford to overuse. Otherwise it begs the question, "Why isn't Flemeth just doing everything?" since she's clearly older, wiser, and more in-the-loop than the PC will ever be. Sort of like dragging around a high-level NPC in a tabletop game. I was also pretty happy with the conclusion we got to her story in DA:I; a lot of her character was wrapped up in the mystique of who and what she is, and once we found that out, the character IMO had served her purpose.
And the scene with her, Kieran, and Morrigan is one of my favorites in any game ever.
