I'm willing to bet that normal elf foot wraps can be swapped out for boots:

Solas: (opens box) It's a pair of fuzzy nug slippers. While I do appreciate the sentiment, I don't think they're suited for combat.

I wondered what would happen if you google image searched "nug slippers" ... it seems to be a type of marajuana.

I'd like some fuzzy nug slippers. Maybe my inquisitor will get them for Solas with the intention of his negative reaction so she can have them for herself. xD

On that note - do you think Solas would be a re-gifter or do you think he'd find use for whatever was offered him?

Excellent choice! It is a fantastic movie. 

 

Re: Bare feet. I grew up running about with no shoes. My feet were invincible! Save for the occasional thistle plant and red ant hill. << I love that a lot of elves go shoe-less. < 3 Although, my Inquisitor will recommend foot-ware for the deep roads...

Empty potion bottles? More like new storage containers!
Boots don't fit right? No problem! Stand them up against that wall there and have them hold your staves instead!

 

and now i've gone and headcanon'd his room being like Ariel's grotto. but with functionality instead of hoarding.

Yeah, if you run around barefoot all the time, you build up callouses which protect against blazing hot ground, spiky vegetation, etc. Even protects against vicious plants like stinging nettle! If I touch stinging nettle with my (not soft and ladylike) fingers, no reaction.  If I brush against it with any other part of my body, ugh!!! 

 

Hopefully various Inquisitors don't mind rough feet in bed if Solas is an LI. Hopefully he doesn't have poor circulation in his extremities, either, especially if we Inquisit during a winter or in a colder environment.  Brrr, cold, rough feet!

I've always found it so funny. Everyone's struggling so much and Solas is just playing it cool and even using his staff as leverage. No prob!

Solas: Not that equipment, the good stuff, all of the fancy weapons and armor that you use that eventually trickle down to the rest of us.

Inquisitor: I don't keep all the best stuff for myself.

Solas: I'm wearing the robes you found last Thursday.

Inquisitor: Then why do they match the rest of your wardrobe?

Solas: Because I have that big basket of assorted animal pelts and bones that you were going to throw away. (notices Inquisitor's expression) I don't have a problem.

But I'd be very careful about the Solas tag because there is explicit content there. Like, super explicit. But, then, it is Tumblr. You're always in danger of surprise!penis.

Well, he is the only one wearing a fur vest and thermal underwear. Plus, his staff can be used as a heat source at any time. But, put him in desert in that and he'll be toast. Hopefully Solas has some summer armor.

I saw this earlier today and stared at it for a loooong time.  Actually seeing Solas moving around in game is going to be amazing, I can't wait.

so, i don't want to be a pest posting cosplay pics of myself.. but the image of Solas and Blackwall on the dragon throne just.. amused me. they had one of those at SDCC (and the Inquisitor's helmet) and we took pics in it in cosplay (because why not). and .. i just felt i had to post for the amusement factor.
