Me neither. just reblob pretty pictures and try to keep it not personal.  I try to keep my hatred of fandom ****** off of there, though sometimes it bleeds.  Though I magically have a fair few followers - a lot of them pug-centric blogs for this pug picture I posted once.  I HOPE THEY LIKE DRAGON AGE SMUT!  And sad pictures of my trash husband.  And the soon to be increasing gifs of Deus Ex,Persona, and Fire Emblem.  I am so amused by that. I follow a few of them back though because the pictures of pug puppies are super cute. I actually did have pugs growing up so I have a soft spot for them.  PUGS!

My tumblr is hilarious. I will get people to follow through, for example, "Giton's Thoughts on Shelley's 'Ozymandias,'" I will then immediately follow that post with Cory-bear's huge, beautiful face, and the new followers have no context for my weird, magister thoughts, and they immediately unfollow. So, that is always amusing. I feel I should have a disclaimer, but it would take the fun out of it.

 

One of my favorite followers is an old Italian film buff. He doesn't care about the other stuff going on. He likes the Satyricon. Oh, and a performance artist who sometimes asks me questions about monks. And I have a classical music label that still follows me through the weirdness. So. Vive la diversité!

 

I prefer to think of my tumblr as "canivalesque."

Though friend I mentioned is highly amused by the fact I've channeled all of this into fic writing, since I've never actively done that before. It all used to stay in my head.

I sort of wound up here so as not to drive my close friends nuts with my feelings anymore. And my spiraling. Though it still creeps in, but I guess I was at the point where I could sort of feel them rolling their eyes.   Though one of them also romanced Solas for a while before she spoiled herself, then went nope and started over and romanced Cullen.

 

I ended up here the same way. My housemate has only just finished Origins so I couldn't vent to her without kind of ruining Inquisition. 

 

I have a feeing her playthrough is going to be very different to mine though because when she found out who I was romancing in DAI she gave me that look and was all 'Seriously? The bald guy?'

 

And it took all of my (very limited) restraint not to reply with 'oh my god you don't even know!' Followed by a lengthy diatribe espousing Solas' virtues.

Cullen blinked at the Orlesian, wondering just what the professor might be waiting for. He held the cord tightly, keeping the package closed, however.

 

"This is the perfect--oh yes!--the perfect season, and the weather is holding up quite nicely. She will be pleased.

 

"She?" But the professor shushed him, a hand to his ear and eyes open wide with excitement.

 

"Let the cord go, Commander!" Cullen obeyed, letting the canvas flaps fall, revealing what used to be a druffalo inside, the flies buzzing carefully. He turned to inquire what this all was, only to see Frederic a distance away.

 

"Oh, look at her! She is so colorful, what an amazing specimen!", he yelled.

 

Cullen looked behind him, and was amazed at just how quiet she had been. Then, all went black.

 

Including the druffalo, because somehow, Frederic just discovered the dragon preferred her meat cooked.

My BFF and I have been playing video games together for almost a decade now, so she and I mutually indulge in our insanity.  And the rest of my IRL friends are blissfully oblivious 

They know I have a video game problem. I can't hide it from them.  I rarely talk about it with them, but on occassion I just cannot not talk about - like I HAD to explain Solas to my friend. I think her eyebrows got lost in her hair. She thought I was nuts.  She was like 'wait so you romance these people' 'YES I TOLD YOU TO GET DRAGON ORIGIN. YOU CAN HAVE A FAKE BF', 'but i have a real one...i don't understand this'

 

She loves Red Dead Redemption though. This many years later she will not shut up about it. So now it's my turn.

Same.  Eamon and my Amell disliked each other as much as is humanly possible without actually trying to kill one another.  It made things very awkward for poor Alistair.

A lot of my IRL friends also play video games and D&D.  So they get the video game thing, and some of them even play BioWare games.  But most of them are dudes, so I can't exactly gush to them about my digital husbandos.  Not unless I want an earful about Liara's blue...assets in return
