Killing Celene takes way too much effort. Just call out Florianne to everybody and call it a day.
Calling out Florianne is so much fun too.

That's something my m!Lavellan would do, because he's a hopelessly optimistic little sunflower.

I'm seriously struggling here ... Briala mastermind rules or Celene/Briala rule together...
I'm a few levels away from Wicked Eyes and really am torn. I am about halfway through reading The Masked Empire and I thought I wouldn't feel bad if Celene died ...
After watching Celene get assasinated (>_<) and reading a bit more of the book, I would bad for killing her off. However I REALLY want better for the Orlaisian elves, but I don't know if Celene/Briala will be enough for the betterment of the elves.
I may sound completely crazy or reading too much into this, but I really don't want to mess up my canon playthrough (yes it's my 2nd time beating the game and 4+ playthrough) Damn you Celene! I shouldn't feel bad when I kill you off!
I should really have posted this in the elf support thread xD
Given what happens to Halamshiral, Revas supports Briala becoming the true power of Orlais. Briala's gratitude only helped certify for him that he made the right choice: "The elves of Orlais have a future. For the first time in centuries."
It's ultimately up to you how you want to proceed. Do what makes the most sense for your elven protagonist.
Cousland: "Oh, I may have turned one of the horses into an abomination. My bad."

The truce is such a disaster waiting to happen though. I pick project "begrudgingly get them back together".
I didn't like Gaspard, so options not involving him are my preference. My one regret in my canon playthrough was not reuniting Celene and Briala, but luckily, Keep can help.
Also, as to the previous discussion about friends and this Solas crazy train, I was chatting with one of mine not long ago over Facebook and from her responses, I could kind of just picture the eye rolls.
But you guys....
I peeked at someone's Reddit post with the Solas pages from WoT 2 even though I thought I'd wait.

Oh, it's totally a disaster, but making the three of them eat humble pie almost makes it worth it ![]()

I am starving for more canon Solas flirting from Weekes' devious mind! Like, I seriously would shell out $50.00 just for a flirt pack. Not even for any new cutscenes (although I would be in heaven), just GDL's voice being smooth ![]()

That would be....an enjoyable side benefit.

GDL does do video greetings. I wonder if he'd read some fan-written dialogue in those?
...on second thought, maybe that's not such a good idea. He might (rightly) decide that we're insane and run away from Dragon Age screaming.
I love when research for writing turns up actual science things that work perfectly in the context of what you are thinking about writing. Yes, I try to ground things in science whenever possible, with leeway if absolutely needed.
Apparently, smelling salts were, at some point, traditionally made from shavings taken from the horns of harts.
I was trying to think of some way to keep a person conscious that might work for the setting and remembered when I had them used on me, and I searched and it matches up so well.
edit: ToP...this is, of course, a preferable method, but, alas....

I am sure this has been debated enough by now, but I still feel like answering.
I assume if you want the elves to be represented better, you might want Briala in charge. This would, theoretically, allow three outcomes: Celene + Briala (CB), Celine + Gaspard + Briala (CGB), Gaspard + Briala (GB). I think only one of them will yield the desired result, which is BG. My reasoning is:
If C survives, she will hold the most power. She is known to the people of Orlais (and Thedas) and accepted as the rightful ruler. She started a civil war and survives it (politically, physically). Therefore, her previous actions seem legitimized, and very often outer appearance is gives a lot of power. So as long as C lives, there is no change in the status quo. She will likely have the support of other nations/rulers and her people, more so than B or G, who would end up in weaker positions. Since those three have different goals, working together probably won't work out. I assume, sooner or later somebody in that trinity would die of an accident or a bad sickness that suspiciously resembles poisoning. So, I don't think CGB would be successful.
Next, CB is the starting position and it didn't work previously. People hardly ever change, usually they are bound to repeat their mistakes. We saw elven ghettos burned down by C's men, tolerated by B. It seems that B is not strong enough to oppose C here, and if back in a romantic relationship this might get even worse. I'm not a fan of going back to something that has proven to be unsuccessful before.
So I think G as B's puppet might work best to further her plans.
I personally am not sure that she will care as much about the elves as she says once she's risen to power. But that's another matter. I personally am not sure if G alone isn't the best choice, even when considering the elves. He doesn't seem to care much about races, only about his nation. To him, an elf should be as good as a human, as long as he's an Orlesian supporter. I can see G achieve equality, not as the result of explicit actions but simply "in the course of events". But this is just my personal feeling, I could be all wrong here. We don't see enough of him in the game to judge. And my Inquisitor didn't read The Masked Empire, so she doesn't know more about him.
She started a civil war and survives it (politically, physically).
Technically Gaspard started the civil war. He sprung a trap that no, she didn't have to fall into, but he threatened her first and then goaded her into an ambush.
So I think G as B's puppet might work best to further her plans.
I feel like this would be the best choice, morally and otherwise (since it's very much proven that Celene and Briala together are a recipe for disaster, and coercing Briala back into that relationship always leaves a bad taste in my mouth) if the evidence against were Gaspard more damning, and if he was quite a bit stupider than he actually is.
Based on his actions in The Masked Empire, he may hate The Game, but he's not a moron by any stretch of the imagination and I seriously doubt that he would allow himself to remain a puppet for any considerable period of time. Despite taking his honour as a chevalier very seriously, he has no problem staging a (technically successful, if not for bizarro extenuating circumstances) coup against Celene because he sees his actions as being for the betterment of Orlais, and he manages to convince a lot of other people to join him by following this line of thinking. I could definitely see him finding a similarly roundabout way of justifying his actions at the peace talks as well. In the greater context of 'dodgy court dealings' what he did there really isn't that bad (one Ferelden guy saying Gaspard's a dick?), and if he wanted to get out from under Briala's thumb he would definitely be capable of doing so.
So, that's why I generally try to get Celene and Briala back together, because even if they're an utter disaster there's a level of ongoing sentimentality that remains between them, and I feel like they'll have a lot more trouble trying to escape each others influence in the long run.

Well, this is easy enough.
Though I'm sure somewhere, there exists Sebastian smut, because there exists everything smut.
Given as Seb was a male Isabela when he was younger I'm guessing there's a lot of Seb smut.

This is true, though I was thinking more tales of temptation from Sebastian in his 'y'all need Andraste' stage.

I went for Celene/Briala (although my first run screwed this up and had Celene alone). What Celene does is terrible but Lavellan didn't know any of this. She didn't want Gaspard in charge, even with Briala as the power, and she's a bit of a romantic so helping two lovers back together made her feel good.
