Also, this gif was posted in the Varric thread and it reminded me of how amusing we thought it was that everyone is struggling while Solas is just walking like it ain't no thang.

You know, I don't think I've appreciated this gif enough, because once I really paid attention to it, I could immediately hear the string of not-quite decipherable but definitely not polite things Varric is saying as he trudges up this mountain.

 

Solas: Did you just call the Inquisitor a "nug-faced harvester-humping genlock"?
Varric: Of course not.
Varric: I said he was a son of a nug-faced harvester humping genlock.

If you're still around, I'd love to know if it was squishy foam or hard plastic? xD

I'd also like to tell you how great you are, and that the first picture is my favorite if I'm allowed to have one.

 

the throne? was made of.. i'm not entirely sure. we could only sit on certain parts of it, and leaning on some of it was not a good idea. it was all hard, but some parts were less durable. (i'm a little squiffy on the details.. ) but the inquisitor's mask was metal. the couple who made the throne's son is a metalworker and made the helmet. that's what the photographers said, anyway. 

 

edit: i apparently have a one track mind and can't remember to type the words "Thank You" ever.

I'm satisfied to know that it was all hard, but not all durable. d; Seeing it in pictures didn't do it justice I'm sure. I'm glad it looks as though you had a good time.

so, i don't want to be a pest posting cosplay pics of myself.. but the image of Solas and Blackwall on the dragon throne just.. amused me. they had one of those at SDCC (and the Inquisitor's helmet) and we took pics in it in cosplay (because why not). and .. i just felt i had to post for the amusement factor.

*goes back to lurking* :) they told me to be dramatic in the second one. the nice men taking photos were awesome. 

WOAH MAN your costume is so dang good! You look perfect, and all the shots I've seen with you taking a nap always make me laugh. They're so cute.

 

And man, seeing that gif more and more makes me keep picturing Solas as the group out door lover, with poor Varric lamenting the fact that they're outside again.

 

Varric: We haven't seen a building in hours. And more importantly, we haven't seen a chair in hours. I think my blisters are getting blisters...

Solas: Yes! All this fresh air is quite invigorating. It's really lifted my spirits after spending so much time at the Keep.

Varric: I'm surprised I haven't seen you start frolicking yet, Sleepy.

Solas: We're not in a good area. It's rude to do it in front of trees, they'll get jealous.

It could be because of gender imbalance. Maybe Viv isn't one at all. It could be Solas and Varric. Varric race gated to dwarves only. And since there is a gender imbalance, they made Cullen race gated also? They wanted to leave the fall out of that until as late as possible? Just a theory.

As cute as I find the toeless boots, I hope he put some proper ones on for that.  Although quadruple nails points for not and not losing any toes to frostbite.  Maybe that's what his hedge mage magic is for.  No fireballs, but he can walk anywhere without shoes!

I'm not sure I believe marketing has a reason besides "mystery" to be perfectly honest.  People are going to be upset no matter who the last two LIs are or who the race-gated options are.  It's probably in their best interest to announce it earlier and let people get used to the idea that they won't be getting what they want than to do it at the end and spark last minute rage and disappointment.  I would think, and I am no professional, that their goal should be to have excitement at an all time high just before the game is released.  In which case, I can see them not announcing it at all to avoid the rage and disappointment altogether.
