Man if you want to get rid of your shitty childish king, poison his morning glass of milk, dont condemn your entire nation to a god damn blight and let darkspawn kill a bunch of innocent people and like all the friggin wardens in ferelden. No. No sir. You're done.
The childish king did that all on his own.
Loghain being vindicated in subsequent games makes the cockles of my cold dead heart wish they could stir with life.
*snip*
It isn't until the dlc when Loghain actually defends his actions at Ostagar, so yeah, I think the whole morally grey action thing is a mixture of bioware covering their tracks and smelling their own farts.
That sounded ranty.
Nah, KoP's explanation says it for me. Ostagar was a battle lost, and the only thing that would've happened if Loghain had charged would be the entire of Ferelden's armies would've been dead instead of the king's army. Loghain's mistakes came later and were political. His military campaign in the Bannorn was very successful. He lost the political battle.
Best DA character apart from Flemeth and maybe now Solas, depending.
There are a few things that annoy me about Ostagar though, like Duncan telling Cailan to wait for reinforcements, how can you wait for reinforcements when the Darkspawn are attacking you? That would involve packing up and going on the retreat with the darkspawn less than a day behind you. Which sounds like a terrible plan.
All they'd have to do is scatter the Grey Wardens- maybe. They kept all the Wardens together and at the fortress as bait.
