I'm reading The Stolen Throne now. At one point Maric and Loghain encounter the Dalish, and there's some herb that smells almost like Jasmine and Maric asks if they roll it up and smoke it.
 
I am convinced this is elfroot.

Seems Maric would be familiar with that.

Elsewhere I've read that they burn the moss of Sylaise- whatever that is- which is probably what he smelled.

Took a peek into the Dorian thread and found discussion about the pieces people found of his WoT entry, which is pretty informative and adds an additional angle to his personal quest. I thought I might have been nearly done with my short Dorian-Lavellan friendship fic but after this it may need some tinkering.
