I keep meaning to knit myself a 'Claw scarf because the ones for sale use the movie colours of blue and silver rather than blue and bronze.

 

Yay for being a Ravenclaw!  It's the house I always wanted to be in so getting an offical sort into there in Pottermore was amazing.

 

I've always liked the blue&silver movie version more, so I didn't mind getting it. Plus love the blazon too much as well. This scarf is also nice to wear, because most of the time, it just passes as being a regular scarf, it's not too obvious (apart from the blazon, but again, it's tiny enough & discreet).

 

And yeah, I've always gotten Ravenclaw as a house in every tests I did and always felt like I belong there, so see it being confirmed in Pottermore was quite the nice feeling!

It's okay, Slytherin are cool too. Well, I like to poke at them, but after all, most of my friends are Slytherins, and most of my friends are definitely great. Therefore Slytherins can be great.

On quizzes, I always got a combination of Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, and I can understand why, but Hufflepuff does fit better. It helps with getting along well with lots of different kinds of people, I guess. And accepting, relating, loyalty, caring and trying to help. Not that others don't do those things but I admit to being an emotional well and basically kind of mother hen-ing my friends at times.

 

One of the things I kind of remember liking was the idea how Slytherins are likely to be more protective of Hufflepuffs and friendly since Hufflepuffs tend to be more open-minded and accepting.

 

I just did gold eye makeup with lots of black liner. I wasn't sure what to do, but why not a low key display inspired by this stuff?

 

I want Cole to wear a big fluffy scarf now.

I always get Hufflepuff. On a rare occasion I'll get Ravenclaw.  Usually I think it comes down to the questions of friendship and loyalty. I tend to be pretty loyal and really supportive and also very fair.

I've always got very annoyed with the way Rowling treated Slytherin.  Just one Slytherin student in Dumblerdore's Army would've been nice.  Instead it's 'all Slytherins are evil'.  At my count there's only two 'good' Slytherins and one spends the entire serise acting like a villian and the other is hardly in the books. 

 

On topic: Solas fits Ravenclaw completely but I also think he'd make an amazing Slytherin.

Hubby and I went to Six Flags today, and I got to wondering what Solas would think of an amusement park - love it, hate it, or indifferent?

 

I decided he'd be all grumpy pants until Lavellan hit him a couple times in bumper cars. Then it would be on.

 

And then, of course, I needed the whole Inquisition group in bumper cars.

 

And I got to imaging some of the group photos on roller coasters

 

I may have a problem.

Yeahh, after months of drepression and months of hearing my parents's words ("your art is not really art") again and again in my head, I'm finally drawing again! And then I happily show this WIP to my friend and she spends an entire hour telling me how it's crap, that nothing's really right, etc etc. I feel the little bit of motivation that I had gathered.... fleeing away right now. Though secretly, I've always wanted to be in Ravenclaw. Everything puts me into Gryffindor though, so I've stopped resisting. It's probably accurate... I'm thinking it's my tendency to be okay with disregarding rules that puts me in Gryffindor rather than Ravenclaw. Need me a Gryffindor scarf something fierce.

 

I don't know that Solas would quite fit into any of the houses super well, actually. Maybe Slytherin? Though he's not exactly self-serving and he's got the whole intellectual studiousness thing characteristic of a Ravenclaw down pat. But then there's that whole rebellious streak and hot blooded cockiness of his younger years which kind of coincides with Gryffindor? But also Slytherin (bending rules)? I don't know.

 

This is making me want to re-read the HP books so bad.

 

EDIT: Hahaha. I just tried to get my husband to take a Harry Potter house sorting quiz, and he said something along the lines of "I don't care whether I'm a Wugglesnuff or whatever". lol. Dying.
