The way I read it, this is exactly what she said. So you two do not even disagree. She did not say his sexuality (as in orientation) was left open for debate, but only if he engaged in sexual intercourse with Lavellan.

 

If he could or could not be interpreted as ace, I have absolutely no idea because I have no clue what still classifies as ace and what doesn't.

 

But in general I don't understand why this is an issue though. Why do people debate it so heatedly? Why can't just everybody think whatever s/he likes?

Do we really need Geth consensus so bad?

 

I misunderstood.  But my argument against using that as evidence still stands.

Japan has the BEST KitKats. All kinds of flavors, it's really popular over there.

Every part of Japan has its own KitKats flavor based on famous dish/fruit/vegetable of said place. It's... AMAZING.

 

My all time favorite flavors are Sakura Matcha (Green Tea + Cherry Blossoms) and Matcha (Green Tea), but I've also had the pleasure to taste other flavors like Sweet Purple Potato, Hokkaido Red Bean, Apple Pie, Strawberry, and Dark Chocolate+Orange.

I kinda made it my lifelong goal to taste them all.

Ah, now you're making me long for some of that Japanese KitKats. Would love to try the other flavors one day.

I agree. Because you can chase Dorian off, Vivienne can be skipped entirely, and Solas always leaves the party, there are likely some players in a spot of magic-related trouble. Perhaps for the post-game DLC, there will be guest characters to fill that void.

Ah yes, if this were real life but it's not.  Also, this isn't a 1993 point and click where you have multiple dead/end fails.  The developers need to make sure you can't break the game.  Frankly, I think that's the reason why you can't kick out Varric after his appalling betrayal. Or why Cassandra doesn't leave when named Divine(she's still there).  I have a feeling Solas is going to pop back up as a temporary party member. Or we'll get one. But more than likely it'll be the original three.  Which is why I think it's pretty telling - aside from Cole - his most poignant banters are with those 2.

This debate stems from the fact that Patrick Weekes left it up to the player to decide whether or not Solas/ Lavellan slept together (yup). Personally, I agree that they definitely had some sexy times, but I get why some people might interpret their relationship differently.

 

But anyway...Hello, Solas thread. It's been a while...

But the fundamental question is different, whether Solas and Lav did the deed is neither here nor there, chastity is not the same as asexuality, if Solas is asexual it means that he does not respond to sexual cues... And I think it's very clear that he does.
