And to an extent in ME3 with Thessia and Earth. I rather enjoyed the heroic deconstruction (though not always its implementation), and I hope they bring it back in DA:I DLC or future games.

This is the worst for me. I sacrifice my Hawke, but I NEVER bring Varric with me. I just can't do it. Watching Varric's soul get crushed is just too much.

OK, that's where I draw the line. Nutty resolutionist red!Hawke can go die, but my purple Hawke gets to live. Because he and Isabela have decades of pirate adventures ahead of them, and if something happens to him at Weisshaupt I might break out the pitchforks and torches.

I did the same except I made hers lighter green. They were visible but not prominent. Though I had Solas remove hers in the end for reasons.

I took Cole into the Fade my first playthrough. I thought it would be really interesting to have him there, but just FREAKS out. He hates it and starts having this mental breakdown. I had to restart the whole mission because I couldn't stand making him go through that.

This is going to be a bit of my issue on my mage run. On my rogue playthrough, I had Cassandra, Solas, and Blackwall (since one might have thought the whole Wardens thing would've been something to take him to)...before knowing better.
When I'm a mage, my plan is to swap between Cole and Sera for my rogue and use Iron Bull as my main warrior but ALL of them will freak out in the Fade. And I promised to make some different choices, so what I think I might be almost forced into is.....bringing Varric and letting Hawke buy us time.

You don't need a rogue for that quest, so I don't bring one.
I do Solas, Iron Bull (his freak out is at least funny), and Cassandra for seeing the spirit.
My team is always a rogue, a warrior, and two mages, with very few exceptions. I'm usually the rogue but this time I'm trying to hold the back line with Solas.
I will bring Iron Bull, but maybe Varric for max pain. Possibly Sera, but we'll see.
I brought Solas, Blackwall, and Varric to Adamant Fortress. So basically Team "This is the WORST" except for Solas who's nerding out like a boss. Probably didn't earn him any friendship points

If it is techincally possible to bring Solas from dissaproval and all the way up to activate the romance, is the reverse possible? (Going into the I disaprove with a romanced character) My gut tells me no, but have anyone tried?

WIth the combination of Varric, sacrificed Hawke, the knowledge I'm taking away the woman Fenris loves and Cole I feel like the worst person ever.
10/10, would play the mission for max pain again.

I think it may be possible, but it's more of a soft rival path. i don't think you can go the whole way and you have to get the haven kiss scene, not sure if you can get both.

It's possible with other characters. Like I've said, I've seen the max disaproval with a romanced!Dorian converstation so it's in there for some LIs.
Well, I'd have to create a new Hawke in Keep just for that if I went the max pain route, since mine ran off with Anders and Anders left alone is REALLY bad.

Anders does live in my SUPER ANGRY M!HAWKE run (yes, the caps are needed for SUPER ANGRY M!HAWKE). He only exists in the Keep but I've got really fond of my SUPER ANGRY M!HAWKE and his friendly romance with Anders.
But other than that? Alway kill him.
It was a mercy killing. For my Hawke, at least. She didn't approve of what he had done, even if she understood his feelings, but he did have to answer for it. A swift death by way of a friend was better than what an angry mob would have done to him.
Meanwhile Sebastian was all rarrghblarragh in the corner about killing Anders and invading and blah hah hah and all I could think was that he was damn well welcome to. Kirkwall is nothing but pain and misery. Have at it.

Yeah...me too. Just thinking about Fenris's face...ughhhh so sad.

Dies in my main PT. I do have a run through with him romanced that he lives. But my main one - meaning the the one I play again - is a sarcasticHawke and Fenris. Anders dies out of mercy. I don't actually really begrudge him for what he did. I understand why.

My canon heroes are always pro mage (and mages) but yet I just can't let Anders live. All I can think about is the 100+ people in the Chantry who died and the thousands killed in Kirkwall and in the war he
I love Hawke being BFF with and dating Fenris while not getting along with Anders because it seems like it should be the other way around.
