One of these days I'm gonna make a PC whose spirit animal is an adorable, water droplet-wearing fuzzy spider.  Wolves, halla, pfft.  SO last Age 

 

As a little kid, I used to feed the spiders that lived in our garden.  It drove my mother nuts until I pointed out that we had fewer pests than any of our neighbors

I have never loved spiders, but I have gotten to the point where we can co-exist in peace. They do their thing, I do mine, and we can chill. 

 

Except black widows. They can go die if they're in my house.

Amen.  I got bitten or stung by wasps more as a kid than anything else combined.

 

I like bees, though.  Bees are fuzzy and nice and if you're gentle, they'll even let you pet them.  We've been finding dying bees in our courtyard for a few years now every spring/summer, and it always makes me sad.

Amen.  I got bitten or stung by wasps more as a kid than anything else combined.

 

I like bees, though.  Bees are fuzzy and nice and if you're gentle, they'll even let you pet them.  We've been finding dying bees in our courtyard for a few years now every spring/summer, and it always makes me sad.

 

Bees are the coolest. I love them to the moon and back, they're basically the queens of nature.

Wasps, on the other hand, can just die, I don't care. They look like bees, so people confuse bees with wasps and think they're awful, while bees are the best. My parents often have wasp nests growing in their attic, and they usually wait for my to come over, to destroy them. Because they know I hate them and will kill them with pleasure. And also because they don't check the attic often and don't wanna handle it much >_>

That spider and it's hideous hat would meet an end under my shoe. or a book that i threw at it from across the room because the phobia is real.  I'm fine with pictures. with really gross ones I get a little erked out but yeah. Not ok with the creepy crawlies.  I'm fine with bugs in games though. I know some people aren't though.

A bee landed on me a few weeks ago and I managed not to completely freak out, shriek, or make sudden movements. So I'd consider that a win.

 

On a related note, I guess I might attempt to channel this general + spider anxiety today into some writing. Not fic writing, mind you. That would require me to think about and describe things.

I've never been stung by a bee and I am extra scared when one is near me since I don't know what effect, if any, bee venom might have on me. I have some weird allergies and reactions to things at times.
