Seriously, bless those wind gusts in Haven.
Ianto Greatly Approves?
Or would that be werid?
Too late, shipping it.
Yeah. When you're watching a show that can't even get what decade a huge chunk of the third and fourth Doctor stories were set in, you know you're not dealing with a show that has an air tight continuity. And as a fan it's just one of those things I've accepted about it. What I don't like is the way the show is being done now. It's not a feeling about the show I can describe, it just is.
It's probably to do with the veil being thin or spirits or something. Hey, that was a nice segue back on topic!
And now I'm back on topic: here's a blast from the past
First proper picture of Solas we ever saw (there were a few of the back of his head in the Val Royeaux screenshots, but they don't count)
I can see why he got that flap thing in his in-game outfit now. This look would be... distracting.
Solas: Vhenan, my eyes are up here.
I do remember many conversations had in this thread about those pants when we first saw those pictures......
Personally, I ship Felassan and Bria. Weekes only confirmed that Celene is a lesbian, not Briala.
I still think the best option is Celene/Briala ruling. Even with their past they still love each other and Celene finally starts making good on those promises. It wont last, though.
This also allows Briala a title, which presumably can be taken away if someone else takes over the throne, but it's like, a step toward legitimacy with political holdings. I do think that's the best option as it stands.
I am really curious about Felassan's killer and where that will lead us next.

So many feels in both cases, so why the hell not?

I just edited my post with my theory. I do think Felassan is going to be mentioned in a future DLC/game. It seems such a shame to have a fantastic character and not get any closure about his death. The fact that Weekes refuses to even give his vallaslin does give me hope that it's connected to his killer and so still considered a spolier.
I'm almost glad he wasn't mentioned in DAI as that game mishandled the TME characters quite badly (in particular when you compare how they handled Cole's transition from book to game). If I hadn't read TME I wouldn've have had a reason to care about any of them.

Oh, definitely. We'll be learning more in some future content. I'm certain of that. And I honestly can't wait, because it's so interesting, given the situation, and what we know now.
As far as TME goes, I read it after playing the game and that whole situation convinced me to buy the book, partly I guess because it was so limited. Then I bought Asunder, and I agree that Cole was just handled so well.
Cole.

I know what you mean... while Briala got some stuff to do and Michel can be recruited (although if you missed talking to him, his refusal to join because you accidentally ending up kill-stealing Imshael from him is really petty and childish), Mihris' cameo was kinda lame and I wished she'd been recruitable for the Inquisition, even if as an Agent?
C'mon, with her entire clan wiped out, what else has she got going on that she so badly needs to do right now?
Do you think Solas has part in the the eluvian pathways in Orlais?
Could their meddling with the eluvians awakened him?
I wooooonder which god it is. I always imagine Dirthamen to be a meanie. I mean secrets?
I've spent time thinking about Solas and wondering where he took his magical elven hibernation and my guess is somewhere using the eluvians. From what we know about uthenera, those taking it have servants to kind of guide, feed (at first) and protect them. Also maybe traps. Being who he is and given what he did....that would possibly put him in greater danger of being a target. In The Masked Empire, that one sleeper was found with a slit throat....they could be killed in that state. So I often wonder about these things.
But the pathways are maybe not all the same. The networks seem extensive, still. There ar emultiple references to that.
This book has given me respect for Gaspard. I've lost respect for Celene and love Briala even more.
I think Celene will do anything for power and she uses Briala terribly. She will never keep her promises for long and I highly doubt she actually cares for the welfare of Orlesian elves.
The book made me thoroughly hate Gaspard. I exiled him in the game but will kill him going forward.

I wanted an option to tell her to go to Clan Lavellan.

That would've REALLY sucked if you subsequently got clan Lavellan killed via war table.

After what Solas says about Falon'Din in the temple of Mythal you imagine Dirthamen as the meanie? To be honest the majority of them were probably meanies, seems likely since they seem to have been rebelled against.

After all the trouble she caused in the books I'm not sure I would want her around my clan. ![]()
I just recommended a new-ish player to romance Solas as f!Lavellan because they wanted something that offers more elven history. I mean, I didn't lie—he offers more insight...but I feel kinda like a cross between
oh no... what have i done...

I recommend Solas + Lavellan to anyone for their first playthrough because of just how much it affects/the diminished impact of doing it later. I feel slightly bad for the feels I have potentially unleashed, but it's worth it for the experience.

lol I kid
...but also not really 'cause the feelings ;~;
Solas' mount is a unicycle.
Solas rides a dinosaur, of course...a raptor.

Someone remind me how the whole "Solas is a raptor" thing got started again...
The Last Flight or The Stolen Throne next?
Last flight. Last Flight is the best.

Sorry, I could hear that over the sound of my amazing hart I got as a reward for keeping everyone alive.

oh my goodness...someone needs to draw this now...

Oh I did too, but the thought of Mihris going from that one clan disaster into another potential clan wipeout would be a bit evil.

I have to admit something.
The first I did the first mission I took Cullen's option entirely because I couldn't believe it was a real option. I had to see what happened.
Lavellan: I need to contact my clan and let them know I'm okay and not being held prisoner.
Josie: We take a careful approach. I'll send some of my elven diplomats with a letter from you.
Leliana: We provide the clan with something it needs.
Cullen: How about... we send heavily armed troops with religous iconography on their armour? Dalish like armed Andrastians, right?
Lavellan: The letter idea sounds nice, but I'm going to have to go with Cullen on this one.
Josie: *polite and ladylike facepalm*
