Also I really dig the idea of him shaving his head after a significant event in the story, that would be cool! Reminds me of an older game called Tales of the abyss where the main character cuts off all of his hair after a rather shocking event.

I wouldn't mind that. That would have probably given Bioware incentive to make him a bisexual romance for those who want him to be a romace option...I second this theory!

I would be happy if Solas was a bi LI gated to just elves. I was going to make an elf to romance him, if he's available, anyway. I just hope he's the bi LI over Iron Bull, honestly. 

 

But I'll be happy for women who want to romance him if he's straight, since we already got Dorian for sure. lol

I think there's a good chance for Solas to be racegated. If he is romanceable he's probably bi (because Dorian is gay and Cullen is probably straight) so the race restriction wouldn't limit options as much. Thankfully it wouldn't matter to me since I'm gonna play as an elf anyway!

I doubt they'd gate a romance option to that extent.  I hope, anyways.  Solas is the only elf now with potential LI status for dudeQuizzies & hetero ladies, and elves have always been an option in DA thus far....  I'm throwing out straws here, dammit.

I support bi Solas so that everyone who wants to in this thread can romance him on the Inquisitor-gender of their choice, but I was thinking that if he were an LI and specifically an Ancient Elf too there may be a chance he is straight (and elf only but I went into that already) with the idea behind the notion being that he wouldn't be interested in unions that wouldn't result in elf offspring. Just one angle of speculation tho of course there are many more.

This sounds like the most likely setup on the male romance options imo. Though I would feel sorry for the males who want to romance Cullen. We will see I guess lol.

No reflection on DGaider himself or his writing (I've really enjoyed things and characters he has written!) but he said he is writing two LIs and he is writing Cass and Dorian, so if he is Solas's writer that would totally scupper Solas being an LI.

Edit: Anyways didn't she write Leliana? She sounds like she would be great at writing the wise, moral, and mysterious characters like Solas if our speculation is proven true
