I have to ask, I'm sure in the 4010 pages it's been asked 10x. But why do people say Solas is a liar? I've yet to hear him out right say, "I didn't do it." He just simply withholds information.
I don't think this whole thing would've worked if he were just a liar, but some people may not think carefully about all of it, just know that he was the indirect cause of things and obscured details, and then just left. For some people, it's just shorthand, or a way of poking fun.
But part of the reason his character is so good is that he rarely outright lies, which means you have to sort out what he says, but also that much about him seems more genuine because of it,

So! I've undoubtedly missed at least a thousand pages worth of theory/pictures/linguistic marvels/random everything else - what's been going on?
Not a lot. Weird prompt generators, art, and butt grabbing.
I don't think this whole thing would've worked if he were just a liar, but some people may not think carefully about all of it, just know that he was the indirect cause of things and obscured details, and then just left. For some people, it's just shorthand, or a way of poking fun.

He never actually lies to people that I can recall, he just has a lot of "technically speaking" and "from a certain point of view" caveats that must be applied to what he says before it gets to the actual truth.

I think our worshipping a trickster is enough to give away that most everyone's mad here.

A matter of definition; is withholding information lying or not? If one doesn't tell her boyfriend that she also sleeps with others (but never claims not to do it) she's not explicitly lying, but I assume the boyfriend's opinion might differ.
With a few things we can assume he explicitly lied. At least I guess some of the "I saw it in the Fade" were actually "I saw it because I was there" situations. However, the question for me is how to assess his lying. For me there are worse things than lying (as long as it does not hurt or endanger somebody else or is tied to something that would). We all lie every day, that doesn't make us bad people. Everybody has a right to his own privacy. And his age or reputation, well, that's sort of his privacy. I also wouldn't have revealed it in his shoes, far too dangerous to simply trust people you just met (especially seen through 5000 years old eyes).
And some art -- spoilered for size but also because it isn't fluffy and some people might not like a "rowdy" Solas. The artist included the quote: "You should have seen me when I was younger. Hot-blooded and cocky, always ready to fight."

It's extremely rare. And sometimes even if he says something like that he hasn't seen magic like the Anchor before, it could be technically true because Corypheus was using the orb for a ritual that could've resulted in something he hadn't ever seen.

They gave him a few tells though, at least for some instances. If he looks away, pauses, or kind of stutters. Also, he speaks so deliberately, so formally, that when he uses contractions, it's usually that there's some emotion going on. "I can't" for instance.

I think it's down to interpretation. The definition of "liar" is pretty large. I personally don't view what he did as "lying". For me lying implies that there is willful intent to conceal the truth for more malicious reasons. He clearly did not. HOWEVER, technically, he lied by omission by not telling the Inquisitor who he was and that he had more history with the orb than he let on. Would it have made a difference? For a friendly Inquisitor, probably not. But for a romanced Inquisitor...maybe. Depends on how you played. This was a hotly debated topic many pages ago. It's sort of one of those things that people have very entrenched views on and mostly because people's own definition of lying varies.
Also, it's hard for me to be personally affronted by what he did. He is - at the end of the day - not real. I may be sayng something different to you if this was my actual, real life friend or partner.
