Got permission from my mom to sleep and put an alarm to watch it at 4am I'm 17 and not much of a rebel so I had to ask. Really excited and the expectations bar should be set to E3's level, as Gamescom is not only like the E3 of Germany but it is also the biggest gaming convention.

Exactly the same here! Getting the full experience and excitement is a one time thing, I can catch up on the rest any time! Really hope there's a Midnight Launch event.

I'm sure we'll get to see something cool!  I'm just not sure where it will fall on my hierarchy of Things I Want To See.  Although I'm pretty sure we're going to see some more of that creepy (marsh?) location and that will be awesome.

It would make sense for the last three companions to be showcased, since we have already seen a bit of the other six. Which would mean that Blackwall, Cole, and Solas fans will get their fair share. If that can be considered necessary for fair. Or if fair is necessary at all. Skyhold would be nice to see too... and maybe some crafting stuff. I'm usually not concerned about crafting, but they have made it sound so interesting this time around. Here's hoping?

We definitely will see that marsh like location! They've also been asking as to what we want to see and a lot of people have commented on more Solas/Blackwall/Cole. For E3 they did the Blackwall/Sera/Iron Bull/Vivienne introduction, so although I'm not too sure, my expectation is that we'll see another Stand Together-like trailer that will feature Solas/Cole/Cassandra/Varric(?)/Dorian(?). Or gameplay featuring Solas/Cole/Blackwall. More like that's what I hope rather than expect.

As for things I expect rather than hope for...Skyhold, maybe a like 3 second glimpse of character creation, gameplay, maybe being shown Celene/Gaspard?

They showed a lot of things last year, but we can expect a lot better because back then they were dedicated to showing concept art and locations since they couldn't talk about the characters yet.

 

I just really hope we see Solas...and realistically, it should be expected. If not delivered, well....

What day is Gamescom exactly? I'm 19, school and work can wait. Part of being adult is making decisions that are totally worth the cost, then complain about regardless. I wanna have the full experience. Blackwall news would be nice, but we know why were all here.

The Gamescom thread in Scuttlebutt has the full schedule but on Tuesday there's the Microsoft press conference that might have something DAI related.  That's at 8AM EST (the Scuttlebutt thread has the times for different time zones too).  Then on Wednesday is the EA conference where there will be new footage of DAI, that's at 4AM EST.

I'm so getting up early for it too, 17 here as well But hopefully all the DAI stuff will be in the first hour and a half of the press conference so that I don't miss anything when I have to get ready for school at 5:30......

 

Sadly the Microsoft one tomorrow is during my second period class *sighs*

 

But i'm so very excited for the press conference! I can't wait to see more of Cole, like they showed in that picture, and I really hope there is a ton of Solas :3

I'm in this weird place where I'm totally excited but also totally expecting to be let down...? Doesn't mean I'll be any less bitter if there's, say, more Iron Bull and that same dragon fight (I'm so over it, guys. I've played Skyrim for over 1,000 hours, come on). But it'll be more of a "I KNEW IT" bitter than a "WHAT THE F***" bitter.

And 8am for Microsoft, is it? I loathe them but since they're in bed with EA I'll have to watch it just in case of Dragon Age... My boyfriend comes home at that hour (night shift) and will probably be expecting hugs and coffee. Instead he's gonna find me perched on the chair staring intently at his computer telling him to "SHOO SHOO" if he attempts to interrupt me. But if nothing else it gives me something to do until 4am on Wednesday...

Also this is so novel, knowing all you other people are gonna be awake. I'm used to being forever alone at these ungodly hours. IT'S LIKE A SLEEPOVER.

But seeing as it will be 4am for me I will no doubt be sitting here in my pajamas and eating cheap sugary cereal for "breakfast," so I guess it being a virtual slumber party isn't too far off.

EA press conference is 2 am for me and I have to work in the morning so I'll probably miss it unless I'm suffering from insomnia.  I will probably get up a little early -maybe 5:30 to check to see what was revealed.  I might catch some of the Microsoft conference tomorrow at 6 am, but I can't spend too much time on it, I have fence that needs repaired before I turn the bull in with my cows and it is too hot to work on it in the middle of the afternoon

I am also 17 and totally staying up to watch the livestream at 1 AM. Thank goodness school hasn't started for me yet. Otherwise, the next day would... well, it would be rather special.
