Ahah, yes! Join me, Solas thread! JOIN ME IN BOUNCING. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.

 

 

I'm in this weird place where I'm totally excited but also totally expecting to be let down...? Doesn't mean I'll be any less bitter if there's, say, more Iron Bull and that same dragon fight (I'm so over it, guys. I've played Skyrim for over 1,000 hours, come on). But it'll be more of a "I KNEW IT" bitter than a "WHAT THE F***" bitter.

 

I'm letting myself ride the hype train, where my only expectations are to see more of this shiny game we'll be getting. I'm promising myself nothing else, and will therefore not be too disappointed if we don't get to see our much awaited trio (but seriously, we've watched that Frostback fight with Sera, Viv, and Bull enough times)

 

Also this is so novel, knowing all you other people are gonna be awake. I'm used to being forever alone at these ungodly hours. IT'S LIKE A SLEEPOVER.
...except there's a lot of seventeen year olds and now i feel old at 24...

ooOoooh, 9am for me, that's actually pretty handy! Hopefully any cool stuff will be early on though, since that's not long before I need to get ready for work. But yeah, Bioware, if you can give me awesome info, that would be an awesome early birthday present  (my birthday is Sunday  ) Then I can spend all of my week off next week spazzing and frolicking!

But yeah, that's probably a wise way to go about it. I'd probably do that too if not for THE TWEETS. I was promised awesome so I am going to be one grumpy little gamer if I don't get awesome. Even if it's not Solas it still HAS TO BE AWESOME. (And yeah, seriously. I question that whole leg mechanic, too. Is it going to be like that for all, what, twenty dragons? Because I can see that getting boring quickly. I'm already bored with it after having seen it demo'd so many times, oops.)

But hahah, now I'm imagining like a Dragon Age theme party that culminates in a sleepover. There would be alcohol in Joining chalices and lumpy Ferelden gray stew and a campfire and people in hooded bathrobes and... I want this now. I think I just made plans for my next birthday pfffth.

I'm pretty excited. I'm totally an elf player (only go human for story reasons, like Warden Queen or erm... being forced in DA2 [eyeroll]) but while I love Zevran and Fenris... Alistair and Anders tho. Hnnasjdh I can't stay away from them. I actively TRY not to romance them but I always end up doing it.
though if i managed not to i'd romance leliana and isabela before zev and fen hahah oh well.
 

But now with Sera and HOPEFULLY??? Solas (oh please, come on, seriously, pleaaase???) I'm like F*** YEAH, FINALLY AN ELF/ELF ROMANCE FOR ME.
The only other one I was interested in was Cass but n0o0o0o she had to be straight ([forever bitter]). I might want to see Dorian's if he turns out to be half as cute as he seems but maybe I'd make a Qunari for him hmm... I don't know.

Either way that developed into an LI-based tangent but my point all along was YEAH SOLAS. YEAH ELVES. YEAH THIS THREAD. YEAH.

I'm sure it will be awesome!  Although I am easily impressed and if all it involved is walking around that marsh setting (I really need to learn the name of that location), I would be happy.

 

I am so with you on the dragons.  I feel a little guilty because it's clear the devs think it's great but.  No, not for me.

I believe the area is called the Ferelden Bogs... At least that's what I remember seeing. I looked on the wiki and they have it listed as that too, along with a link to some article citing it. So hopefully that helps.

But yeah, I think we're definitely seeing that either way, and I'll be very happy about that. But they hyped me up too much! I wanna see SKYHOLD! I wanna see CRAFTING! I wanna know SPECIALIZATIONSSSSS. There's literally so much I want to know. It's such a huge target. It won't be hard to hit at least ONE so if there's NONE... augh. But I'm being optimistic. ...Cautiously...

Edit: AND OH YEAH THAT ELF LADY INQUISITOR THAT WAS ON TWITTER. Or any elf lady inquisitor. OR ANY LADY INQUISITOR... that's not the qunari... Again, she's awesome and I was so happy about her at E3 that I cried a little but it's the same thing as the dragon... I need new things to feast my wanting eyes on...
 

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one thinking that, though. I mean, I thought it was cool... at least the first, er, four time we saw it? Now it's just such overkill. I'm like CAN WE PLEASE? CAN WE MOVE ON?? It's been such a long wait I need new new new need moar things to chew on if I'm to survive until November waaah.

I just hope they don't postpone all DA stuff until tomorrow.

AH yes CC how could I forget. I would FREAK for that. Keep would be nice. LI WOULD BE REAL NICE but I stopped caring a while ago when they decided to be all dumb about it. I mean, I totally still care, but I'm not gonna let them string me along y'know... Pfffft...

I'm not expecting a TON from XBox but a LITTLE would be nice... just a little to hold me over... hnnn... [stares at the clock willing it to be 4am with wild eyes]

Yeah, I had all my Female Elves planned to romance non-elves and all my Male Elves planned to romance female elves, but that was not in the cards...again. 

 

And you are correct, with Sera being a lesbian and Zevran being bi, the only combination we haven't had is a male elf protagonist with a female elf companion.

YES. I am ALL ABOUT THE CRAFTING. Skyrim, Kingdoms Of Amalur... It always nets better gear than random loot. SO EXCITED to have it in DA asdhfasd.

Yeah, right, of course. And ofc Fenris and Merrill are out of the elf/elf equation because Hawke is always human... unfortunately...
