Sorry guys.. I did it again..
I enjoy your videos. I don't play Mass Effect so that part is lost on me, but as for the song itself, it's pretty much the song I associate with Solas and Lavellan the most these days.
I didn't hate her but she and my Inquisitor had a bit of a rocky relationship over the course of the game and it was very much on the ups at that point so the whole thing taken together was rather cruel. It damaged their friendship.
Thank you!!!!!
Finishing that book sparked me to read more from WoT2. I wonder what an Old God looks like before the darkspawn reach them. They get corrupted after the darkspawn find them so what are they truly before? Underground dwelling High Dragons? Powerful Spirits? I'm not buying they're elven pantheons. It would put elves in another bad light (racist theorycrafters!). So how would the elves find into the Blight and the Old Gods? Maybe they truly have no connection and it's all Tevinter's fault :3
As you're aware, this is pretty much what most of the theory crafting these days seems to be about, I think, hahaha.
The curiosity surrounding the old gods and the pantheon is extreme. I like to think the dragons/old god souls are wards of some sort, and each one slain is a breaking of a seal. Every one of us has a theory, so there are as many theories as there are people
As to what they are: of course this is just generally accepted belief that the old gods are within the dragons, and that would've been started by the Tevinter folk... since they worship dragons, and claim to have been taught magic by them. Since Morrigan takes a soul for Kieran, I assume this is evidence of its truth, though? We know that prior to that, dragons were closely linked to the elves. Also, "Originally the Neromenian tribes (precursor of Tevinter and other human societies in Thedas) worshipped fallen heroes reborn as dragons, and with dreamers as their leaders they began to instead worship the dreamers' gods, also as dragons." Also, there are conflicting theories within the DA universe that say the first Darkspawn corrupted Dumat, while others say Dumat created the darkspawn, and of course Chantry tells us the magisters were the first darkspawn. Some people theorize the Forgotten Ones (outcast 'gods' of the elves) are the Old Gods of Tevinter, and the 8th god stricken from history is Fen'Harel (who could walk among both). This would make sense if you consider that the high ranking dreamers of the elves/leaders of their society (what are known today as gods) could turn in to dragons.
And JoH codex spoiler:
So many theories. So long before the next Dragon Age game. -wiggles around in agony-
