What does she say in it, for some reason Twitch is being difficult and refusing to work, at least for me?

 

 

Someone asked if any of her work made her cry and she noted saying goodbye to (presumably) a romanced Shepard and she said in this game (they were streaming JoH during the talk) she said something, hesitatingly so as not to spoil, and paraphrased, 'Do you all know that there's someone that can betray...' the apparently the person in the audience dressed as Cole was totally nodding, and she said there was something about it that she totally didn't see coming and so that made her cry. But she also went on to say that it depends and most people probably wouldn't have that thing, and would have happy Inquisitions, etc'

In regards to everything above, I am lost. So I'll just throw a gif in to the lake and go swimming.

Unlike me, who has still yet to complete the glorious Ranger Rick!Solas AU arts. u_u It's been weighing heavily on my conscience, but it's quite possible it will take me several more weeks months to complete, at the rate I'm going. Sorry guys. I'm a bit of a jerk but also I worked 44hrs over three days this past week in addition to regular hours for the others so basically I get home and I'm:

Also, you did the opposite of butcher our Talas! You, uh... what actually is the opposite of butchering?... um. I'm trying to say they look great. Tala has never looked better. ^__^ Would you mind if I cropped it into an icon for this forum, with credit/link to your tumblr in my signature?

 

It's okay, you could take forever and a day to do the mug and I would not judge you. Even if I wanted to. People in glass houses and all that.

I saw that Solas booty post the other day and it is worth viewing multiple times.   I just wish I could find the 'wind gusts at Haven' gif I had to accompany such a fine view.

I tried searching my tumblr for that gif but I can't seem to find it (I could, however, find the screenshots of Solas' bulge being visible because of said wind gusts that I reblogged. xD). Then again, I can't remember whether I reblogged that gif or just gave it a 'like'. If anyone could find said gif, Cee and I would be eternally grateful.

And you know what else? People keep talking about that scene after Haven when Solas struts up to the veil torch and lights it. And the fandom is so busy gushing over his switching hips that they can’t see he’s tricking us.

I guess the trick worked.

I think Solas was given the switch animation during that particular scene because he is tricking us. There is no “this is where we see the real Solas.” Solas was himself all along. He is always proud and wise and blunt. He always acts like an ancient elven god, and if we can’t see what he truly is, it isn’t because he succeeded in hiding.

Sometimes I think Lavellan saw the truth. She is given some pretty curious lines throughout the game. “Solas, whatever you’re looking for, we can find it together.” (during the break up scene). “Who are your people, Solas?” (if Briala is exiled). “You’ve been to court before?” (after Wicked Eyes, Wicked Hearts).  

Lavellan is on to Solas. And not because he’s a great actor. Solas told a story about being a hobo apostate, and then proceeded to act like an ancient being who disdains everything about the modern world. He constantly uses phrases like “this age,” and his constant excuse is “I saw it the Fade.” Meanwhile, no one challenges the Fade excuse but for Cassandra and Iron Bull, who are also on to him.

No one else notices Solas because no one cares enough about some elf to look twice.

All that being said, a mask is still clearly there. It is obvious to Lavellan that Solas is trying to hide, even if he does a poor job of it. I would be surprised if Lavellan didn’t suspect he was an ancient elf after he practically declared it in the Temple of Mythal. When he dumps her later, she can say to him, “No one ever sees behind that mask of yours, do they?” And he answers, “You saw more than most.”

The point is, Solas is always himself. He doesn’t bare his soul during the scene after Haven is attacked. This is how he always acts.

I think he was given the strut animation because he is tricking us. He watched and smiled as the people bowed and serenaded us a moment ago. Now he’s realized that we can be of use to him. We can help him. We can get the foci for him.

He starts strutting because this is the moment when he is tricking us, just as he tricked the gods so long ago. He can’t get the foci himself, so he needs to put the idea in our head that the artifact is important. He needs us to believe that he has knowledge about it, so when the time comes that we finally get the foci from Corypheus, we will hand it over to him – the expert – without question.

So he starts talking about the foci and how important it is. Before this moment – and even after it – he has denounced modern elves as his people. But now suddenly, an elven Inquisitor is referred to as one of his people, and the foci is “ours.”

Solas is trying to warm Lavellan to him by claiming them as his blood. He is buttering us up. He is gently pushing us to meet his goals.

That strut we see is the strut of the trickster. As much as he hates being demonized as a trickster god, Solas got the title for a reason.

The same goes for his other title The Dread Wolf.

He hates lying but he lies. He hates killing but he kills. And he will quietly dish out threats to those who insult his pride – especially the Dalish. Remember what he says to Mirhis.

I have no idea how to do the spoiler box thing, so if someone can give me pointers I would greatly appreciate that. Anyway, drove straight off the Cullen romance idea and restarted my game with my elven archer, because I found the whole thing overly saccharine and well kinda a less insecure, but still had personal demons version of Alistair from DA:O.

 

I am enjoying the Solas romance, even though I know it will break my Inquisitors heart. What is it with Bioware and men that do the whole "I am not going to tell you this big important thing because I am afraid of how you will react?" They did it with Anders and now they did it again with Solas. I mean the way you gain approval with both men is by showing them how you are not "most people." Which Solas even comments about, and yet there they both go on to either leave you hanging or with a really big proverbial mess to clean up.

 

Found these two pieces, the first is an interview with Weekes on Iron Bull, Cole, and Solas- with romance discussions as well, It's heavy on spoilers. The second is a meta theory on what Solas says to you after the second romance cut scene

The interview makes me seriously wonder if Lavellen will get anymore interact with Solas in a future DLC, while the second struck a cord with something that has been bothering about the Orb since Solas first mentions it. This may have been discussed before so I apologize for that 4105 pages is a lot of content to read through.
