I figured it was basically magical time stasis. If it were just magical carbonite,
But if it was magical carbonite, still being affected by the passage of time even the object itself was "frozen", that might explain why;
And why we can walk around both the Old Temple and Silent Ruins freely, without getting frozen in time ourselves?
On a slightly off-topic note, did anyone else the first time they enter the Silent Ruins think the party would end up getting frozen or something? I was terrified of that happening, I was walking around constantly paranoid of touching anything?
That could have had the quest a lot more interesting, that in order to chase down the Venatori plundering the ruins and free some of our troops that'd gotten stuck as well, we had to navigate the maze to find the safe path through? Would have been challenging (and deeply frustrating) to have our party members get trapped if we got it wrong, as well as suffering a Non-Standard Game Over if the Inquisitor got stuck?
I miss some of the logic based puzzles we used to get?
