Why would Solas need the eluvian password though?

That has been my issue with that theory. It just seems odd to me also that Solas would need something to use the eluvian network. Especially since it just seems to fit that part of locking the gods away would have probably involved him changing the password/s to the network.

 

I did have one thought though recently. You know that video that reversed the voices of the Well and how they seem to be saying "Go to Dirth"?

 

If there was one of the pantheon in my opinion that has been able to crack at his prison at all it would be Dirthamen. The guy of knowledge and secrets....I don't know. Just seems like if one of them would be able to have any kind of knowledge on how to get out it would be him. And if Felessan was dealing with him....well I'm pretty sure that if you don't give the knowledge Dirthamen wants you are as good as dead.

 

Total shot in the dark I know.....but we did find his temple and if the Well is telling you to go find Dirthamen supposedly......I just have a feeling that Dirthamen could pop up pretty soon.

 

Which would be cool because of all the pantheon I want to see Dirthamen and June. Dirthamen has the potential to be a Leliana on beast mode and June would be cool just so we could see if he was really the guy in charge of crafting or not.

 

Ugh, I may have to start visiting the Elvhen Pantheon thread. Solas started a pretty ridiculous pantheon obsession for me.....even if they were all nuts.

I wanted a "please explain more, I'm interested in your point of view" option. As it is, you don't have the "i agree" or "blood magic is evil." I wanted to hear more of what Solas had to say on the subject, and was sad I didn't have the opportunity. 

 

 

I agree, for a guy who is so focused on explaining to you that things are far more subtle and complex than the somewhat black and white dichotomy that the Chantry and Circle of Magi posit about the Fade and Magic I feel like the A or B response choice does not do justice to his character or how we respond to his character as players.

Just calling him Dirth is odd.....but then again why do both Abelas and Flemythal call Solas Dread Wolf and not Fen'Harel, his actual name. Dirth could just be what he was called among the pantheon or just in general. But that is just a guess with nothing to really back it up.

dirthamen would make sense for Mythal to send her followers towards though if you go with the theory about Dirthamen's sinner having a big part in the whole Mythal murder and all. And if you look at the how Dirthamens priests acted after their god was taken away it's a pretty severe reaction. I mean, it talks about them going mad because of the secrets they have been left to guard....but Dirthamen being gone doesn't seem to warrant a decent into madness really. These were his highest ranked priests. It doesn't seem likely that Dirthamen would choose priest with weak minds.

Another shot in the dark but I think the secret driving them mad was that Dirthamen left them with the secret of what really happened with the murder of Mythal and the whole downward spiral that was going on. The highest priest , who was probably like BFFs of the highest kind that any worshipper could be, was obviously driven to epic proportions of insane when Dirthamen was locked up especially if he knew why and all the details of what was going on. I guess.

On a Solas note, I forget what he said exactly but I do remember Solas sounding very sad about what happened to the High Priest after you do the ritual and kill him. A lot of pity in his voice if I remember right.

There's not much to go on with Dirthamen. It depends on what his personality was like. I'm gonna take a guess and say Falon'din and Solas probably didn't get along very well. But I did bring Solas to Dirthamen's temple and he did appear to feel bad about what happened to the high priest. Dirthamen was the god of secrets and knowledge which I feel would make great conversations between them. So Dirth and Solas could possibly have been friends. 

 

Unrelated, but after hearing some banter between Sera and Cole and Solas, I really think Sera is a mage or something more (https://www.youtube....h?v=x9VlK4i5MYo) Can you even hide magic though? It will probably eek out or something. I was honestly jealous of all the attention Solas seemed to give her during their banters (lol?), but I think he can sense something in her. I wonder if this will get addressed in future DLC.

 

And another thing I recently recognized after watching the epilogue and Flemeth's first cameo is that after Flemythal is transferred into Solas, his eyes have the same design as Flemeth's when she uses her leash command over whoever drank from the well. I wonder if this hints that he does in fact have Mythal's power now.

I have seen a lot of the stuff being thrown around about Sera and it is all interesting. I'm on the fence about her possibly being Andruil or even a mage though. Sometimes I think Solas is just in shock at how far the elves have fallen, and if Sera is just Sera...she is like the apex example of how far the fall has gone. It's like he's trolling the fact that the elf in her is still there though.

 

Gotta love when he swears at her though. Especially after reading the possible translation of Fenedhis lasa. I think that's how it is spelled. Cracked me up big time.

Who knows, maybe something is going on between Dirthamen and Mythal?

 

 

Mythal's Domain has a Statue of Dirthamen with a Sword on his back and constantly bleeding ...along with the same type of glyph when Cory sacrificed the devine

Lastly this with the sword on mythals icon's back, similar to Dirthamen in Mythal's domain.

 

My guess is the constant blood is means that Mythal is using Dirthamen to fuel herself...forcefully? Just like how Fen'harel absorbed Mythal to fuel himself

I suspect that if Dirth and Falon are physically brothers, then one betrayed the other. If they're not physically brothers, then I suspect they are the duplicitous traitor.

Nah, it's mostly the same people who use(d) to post here. There's just an exaggerated affinity for glitter and yaoi and that's only for fun.

However, in general it is a smart move not to leave the Solas thread. The outside has a lot of stupid... annoying... people.

Reading the Masked Empire, I keep going back and forth on the Solas and Felassan are the same person theory. There's some things Felassan does that seem very Solas. And then there's some things he does that seem very not Solas. But if they are the same person, that means they both have to be vessels for Fen'Harel. And I'm very attracted to the Solas is Fen'Harel theory. And there does seem to be a bit of a character jump from Felassan to Solas that wouldn't make sense if they were both Fen'Harel. But then you also have the similarities... I don't know what to think!

 

As the biggest supporter of Team Lone Wolf (and creator of the team name) I can perhaps help.

 

Felassan is the world's biggest Fen'Harel fanboy.  He's bound to a different god (probably Falon'Din, given as he's a jerk (I haven't said that lately so I think I need to say it again)) but he supports Fen'Harel as best he can. It makes sense that he's a lot like Solas because he admires Fen'Harel.  I've compared the two of them here before but I want to say it again:

I think he's a lot like Tom and Bria is like Polly.  Tom was bound to the Fairy Queen but was able to use the stories he and Polly wrote, and the books he sent her, to give her the information she needed to save him.  Felassan does the same thing with Bria.  He's bound to Falon'Din, but gives her stories of Fen'Harel not to save himself, but to ensure the elves stay free of the trapped gods.

 

 

A lot of the similarities between him and Solas can also be put down to them sharing a writer. Weekes is a fantastic writer, but he does share stuff between characters.

The pantheon thread has a lot of Solas thread regulars.  They do have a very set view of what the pantheon is going to be like, though.

Oooo how do they see them? From what I saw from the fan art Falon'din looks like he's infected with red lyrium in one of his eyes.

We really don't have solid evidence on how Dirthamen, Sylaise, or June acted. I bet Sylaise was a sweet innocent elf (Her mosaic is so cute! Mythal is still my favorite though...)

From what I can gather Ghilan'nain was a mad scientist when it came to animals. Probably conjured up the halla with some insane practice. She also was besties or a lover of Andruil. Andruil was obsessed with hunting, like way too obsessed and probably got infected with red lyrium at some point. Based on what Solas told us Falon'din was another crazy like Andruil. His obsession was with adoration/devotion. The only thing I can tell about Elgar'nan is that he judged people too harshly. He probably loved having power and was just waiting to use it. 

Poor Mythal, she had to intervene with those crazies a lot and was murdered for it most likely (/cough Andruil with Ghilan'nain, and/or Falon'din with possibly Dirthamen [because brothers/besties]) I think it was a big conspiracy involving half the gods. How could Solas miss this kind of court? Maybe they got along once. Maybe half of them became blighted... /tinfoil

The Glitterotica view is largely that the Pantheon is infected by red lyrium, and horribly twisted by it, but you can still see the traces of an alien and glamorous civilization at its peak. Look at Flemeth's crazy but awesome fashion statements, for instance, and add red lyrium. Very tragic and entertaining villains. (Then there's June the Glamour Toad, but that's another story. )

I'd argue that Sylvaise was one of the nastier and more underhanded gods, seeing as how her Song in the Temple of Mythal is all about supplanting the others in their spheres of influence, bragging of her majesty, and an unhealthy fire fixation.

Off topic (but no one's here anyway),

I forgot how weird it is to walk around in Japan. I can't blend or be invisible. It seems the majority of people haven't seen many "outsiders" so they glance or stare at me. One time when I was here before some lady insisted on staring at me (AND she was scowling!) when I was trying to eat in a restaurant... It's even worse when they are talking or laughing as you pass. Doesn't help my knowledge of Japanese is about as much as a pre-schooler. I guess I shouldn't care really, but it makes it hard to enjoy oneself. 

Sigh, now I know how it feels to be Lavellan at the Winter Palace. Please stop staring. Yes I do look different. No, don't call me rabbit, lady. =__=
