The separation of the Dalish into microsocieties of their own could technically lead to some skepticism with regards to this view/acceptance of the new knowledge. One would hope that if a Lavellan does try to spread some of the information learned, there would be more open minds and less 'well she's gone crazy/that mark ahs done something to her/where's the proof? etc' ---which is going to be part of my return to clan fic that I should really get to actually writing.
Yeah, true. If Bioware is trying to write diaspora (which I believe they most certainly are), they need to take into account real life experiences of groups who live with it if they want the audience to relate. Like if I'm thinking in terms of my experience with diaspora, I'd say most clans would react respectfully. Maybe shocked at first and definitely skeptical like you said, but pomposity and willful ignorance would be ooc and that's what I'm worried about. Fingers crossed they don't go in that direction.
