While I don't feel Solas fits with the body paint... I suddenly feel like making Lavellan wear it and very pointedly look in Solas' direction.

Especially after the last romance scene.

I admit, I originally thought that it couldn't really be just paint.  It just looked like paint!  They wouldn't really make a set of armor that was half paint, right?  But yes, they did.

 

Why not, Qunari wear body paint as well... for all we know, the Avvar figured out something similar to vitaar that's non-toxic to humans?

 

Or it's just paint and the Avvar are taking cues from the Celts (and Picts) on how to wear little-to-nothing but warpaint into battle like a boss.

I can't do visual art. So when others can do not just good art but also emotionally resonant....that's the best.  I'm really glad you've continued to share with us. Even showing us some of your stages, because I kind of love that. I'm that person who draws in really close to the paintings in museums so I can look at the brushstrokes left behind. I think it helps that I look rather harmless because I might otherwise put the guards on alert.

Speaking of veilfire, does anyone else get annoyed by the fact that you light the torch and then grab it straight away?  Because most of the time I'm just lighting the torches because they're there and I can do a glowy thing with them, I don't want to actually take a torch.

 

It's the snazzy animation of lighting them, isn't it? I kinda wish the torch bracket would go out after a while, simply so we'd be able to light them again, because watching a mage showing off while lighting a torch is far more fun than it should be.

Yes, so I usually switch to Solas or Dorian to grab it.

 

That veilfire torch thing is just so true.

I  don't have any fanart to show - so sorry if this is the wrong thread - but Solas is one of my favourite characters so wanted to share a little dialogue I had yesterday between him and Vivienne.

 

First off I don't like Vivienne - so stuck up and superior but I thought this was a gem from Solas - almost made it worthwhile her being in my group!

 

Vivienne: So, an apostate?
Solas: That is correct, Enchanter. I did not train in your Circle.
Vivienne: Well, dear, I hope you can take care of yourself, should we encounter anything outside your experience.
Solas: I will try, in my own fumbling way, to learn from how you helped seal the rifts at Haven.
Solas: Ah, wait. My memory misleads me. You were not there.

 

It made me laugh out loud for real! Knocked Vivienne totally speechless. Go Solas!
