Oh no
all the pretty screenshots... I wonder what's going on now.
I don't know.
I thought captaincaranis was feeling okay already but it seems like they're not? *sigh* ![]()

Art again.
Solas and Lavellan.
Tumblr link version of the lovely Solas art NightSymphony posted earlier. ![]()
OMG... ![]()
Modern AU Solas doodle.
Mohri Lavellan and the elves.
Uh... Sera, Abelas, and Solas. xD
Poor Solas. I don't really understand that one. Why would anyone put cleaning brushes on his head? I've never been to an Ikea store...
The Solas artworks are gorgeous!
(And I love the Zevran one as well.
)
BTW, I managed to reblog captaincaranis' latest set of screenshots but when I checked their blog again, it seems that they removed all their screenshots from the blog and the only thing left is a reblog of the concept art of the sinking of Arlathan.
Oh no, just when things seemed okay again.
Hmm, there is this new post
"Я стала получать какие-то странные писульки с оскорблениями в ПМ. Реально не понимаю за что, но сыта ими по горло."
Google translate: I started getting some weird scribble insults to the PM . Really I do not know for what , but fed up with them .
I guess some people were not being so nice. ![]()
This is why we can't have nice things.
Off topic but... if anyone who hasn't played the Mass Effect Trilogy and wants to..All three are 50% right now on Origin. $14.99 http://http://bit.ly/1evfOXA
Yes, he does make comments like that along the way, like when you get the rewards from the tombs. The statue isn't visually much, but the fact that it says Solas is giving you a partial translation makes me wonder.
In my head, I thought the comments he made sounded a bit surprised and maybe even faintly annoyed, not sure the temple itself necessarily has anything to do specifically with him though. I've seen theories out there that posit that it is a temple that was constructed after whatever he did, but before Arlathan fell and Tevinter swooped in. Not sure I agree with that yet, waiting to finish making my way through before I start fully theorizing.
Is anyone aware of a place that captaincaranis could post their stuff were they would not get trolled?
edit: Does Tumblr have a block or ignore function for people being jerks?
If anyone wants to point @captaincaranis to a safe place to post her screenshots, I would suggest this thread on the forum:Is anyone aware of a place that [/size]

With Tumblr you can ignore someone, close your inbox/asks, and also uncheck a box to prevent people from replying to posts. Isolate yourself, basically. People could still reblog and respond that way, but it helps prevent a flood of mean things. It shouldn't have to happen though, especially if you want to be a part of the greater community.
Does anyone know if mods are working with the latest patches+DLC.
I need to know. For science (and the fantastic face texture I just downloaded).

And maybe a word or two about how much this thread would love to have her post. If language is a barrier, I can understand how intimidating that might be. The thread listed above though, has some very nice and helpful people. They really support each other, as hobbyists.
I sent them a fan mail earlier. I did not just do a reply because they specifically wrote their post in Russian and I did not want my English post to bring out the trolls, as it were. I am waiting to see if I get a reply.

Good to know. This issue has me feeling a bit soapboxy and steamed because I know what it is like to be creating art of any form and not feel supported by the larger community and even family and friends. So it's hitting all kinds of nerves and making me want to both wrap captiancaranis in a big fuzzy mother hen blanket and smack some idiots who lack common decency on the head.
I think I am going to take some deep breaths and go kill some Venatori...
ugh, why would people troll a fandom blog which only posts photos? I don't understand
tumblr users are unnecessarily aggressive and nasty sometimes, it's why I've tried to move away from the place.
Not Solas related but could be of interest to people:
There's a mod on the DAO Nexus that turns the vallaslin in the DAI versions.
aaaaah I finally have a motivation to complete a Mahariel! ![]()

I'm really quite tempted though, I've got a very small game-sized wad of cash for graduating. Is there any crucial DLC for ME that I'd need to buy on top of that?
whats the deal with this captaincanaris stuff?

She(?) ran a blog that mostly posted Solas screenshots, all pretty wonderful. A few days ago she closed down her blog due to the fact that there seemed to be a lack of interest. She returned a short while later with new stuff, but has now removed all her Solas screenshots entirely due to getting hate mail.

A fan that does a lot of DA pictures, very pretty. A little while back, she announced she was shutting down because people didn't seem interested. (She's Russian, and it would seem that some oddly worded things in her description of the page led people to think she didn't want them to subscribe) Cue a horde of fans asking her to keep doing it and how much they like her work. Then cue trolls harassing her over gods know what.
That's why I've picked up on, anyway. I've always liked the pictures of her's people have shared here. ![]()
I loved captaincanaris' pictures! Such a shame. People can be real pr!cks sometimes. ![]()

All of them. :-P But really..Citadel and Shadow Broker are the best, in my opinion.
@the drama
huh.
thanks for the info.

For Mass Effect 1, Bring Down the Sky gives you some perspective on a generally antagonistic group that tend to crop up, as well as a recurring jackass. But it's not crucial, per se.
For Mass Effect 2, Lair of the Shadow Broker is amazing and very plot relevant.
Zaeed: The Price of Revenge and Kasumi: Stolen Memory are the infamous companion DLC's, but they're both charming and will turn up again in ME3 for fun times.
Overlord isn't plot relevant, but it is an excellent story.
Arrival isn't nearly as good as Overlord or Lair of the Shadow Broker, but it's extremely story relevant.
For Mass Effect 3, From Ashes is a companion DLC that's story relevant, and is rather shamefully not included in the main game. ![]()
Leviathan is fantastic, and story-relevant.
Extended Ending is free and necessary.
Omega is decent, or so I've heard. Not main plot critical, but it picks up on some plotlines.
Citadel is an amazing romp with the entire crew, the last hurrah of the Shepard Trilogy. I'd almost recommend playing it after you finish the game, just to have the perfect note to leave off on.
If you can't quite afford all the over priced DLC, like me, then I'd recommend maybe just Arrival on Youtube? (There are some decisions in that one that I...disagree with. *glowers at Kenson*)

And I loved them both, God bless 'em. ![]()
My partner got around to finishing ME3 last night, for the first time ever. This entire day has been spent with him randomly spouting off another thing that confused or irritated him about the ending, and he went in unspoiled and blind so I was really interested to see his reaction. I also learned that three years gone is not enough time to not tear up at certain points through the game...
Best series ever, seriously. I hope Andromeda does as well and that the team learned whatever lesson the end of ME3 taught them.
Now if only we got some DAI DLC news...
I keep forgetting that Zaeed and Kasumi were DLC.
I will maintain to my dying day that there was long list of potential characters and companions that were cut on the drawing board. Kasumi came in as an idea later. But as for the original cut companions, well...
"Zaeed Messani went out to dinner with his family one evening. He was the only survivor." ![]()
Bioware was as surprised as everyone else when he showed up as day one DLC.

Additional note: Zaeed is also free, so you've got nothing to lose with it.
As for Omega - I got all the DLCs (because I'd rather starve than not have them
) including this one and it's great. It's not plot-relevant in a major way, but it's atmospheric, expands the ME universe in small but significant ways and puts an awesome cap on the Omega thread of the story (plus more War Assets, which is candy to completionists like me). If I had to rank them, though, I'd say From Ashes (1), Leviathan (2), Citadel (3), Omega (4). Overall they are all really, really excellent, so I'd recommend getting as many of them as possible, purse allowing. Personally, I loved Citadel and felt like the game is 100% more complete with it, yet if I had to pick and choose I'd still go for From Ashes and Leviathan as top picks for their story relevance (*cough* among other things *cough*).
As for ME2 DLCs: I was really annoyed when I ran a playthrough in ME3 without DLCs in my import (long story) and it turned out that those small but significant decisions that Zaeed and Kasumi participate in are damned if you do, damned if you don't unless they are there, but that's not a great reason to get those DLCs, granted. As I said, though, Zaeed is free. I agree with this assessment overall, Lair of the Shadow Broker is a must, Arrival is basically fun, really relevant and not too much to miss, albeit the relevance kind of makes it a top pick anyway; still, if you had to choose, I'd maybe go for Overlord, I really enjoyed that one.
All in all I'm usually very impressed by ME/DA DLCs, they're all worth it for one reason or another, so for me it comes down to a matter of story relevance, insofar as I can discern it beforehand, but it's easy enough to pick based on content and enjoyment without shifting them about too much on the priority list.
